Q.T.E. meaning quick time events that randomly happen and you dont expect it and you havnt saved in ages and it send you back to 3 hours ago

FPS aiming when you try to aim at somthing just next to ur target but u turn around and got ur face slammed into a wall because of it

oh the piss easy final bosses how i hate you all they always have a weak point where u must shoot to kill them or in some cases criple them cause they r the size of houses then after that all you gotta do is avoid there nasty shots which do could cut me or you in half but just give our character a nasty zap.....off track point is doge some stuff shoot weak point again

these are my most hated endings where u have finished the game and when ur waiting for the clincher he says (like from black)lets go finish this u think there is another level you are like wtf then the credits come in and you have got to wait for the next game and black 2 still hasnt come out at this point so i have givin up on that

in alot of games nowadays when you shoot someone to say cripple them instead of killing them so u can do somthing fun but it turns out to be the killing shot..... doesn't that annoy you

when you shoot somthing that should level a building it doesn't but where in an old game like red faction (i still have to find a working copy in my house) where u can actualy blow your way through walls to find secret areas which is absolutley awsome

ok there are 2 opens spots pm me with what u think needs to be added i will only do ones that have like 20 people put in for it depending on how popular this gets i might have to make a second one..........most likely not though happy ranting :)

if u vote please post a reply or this will disapear which for my first topic on here wouldnt be so bad but i spent my time typing when i could of been trying to find another flash game to play due to all games u buy these days suck

Your y and o keys yearn for your gentle touch.

Anyway... impossible QTE events that result in instant death is probably the worst for me. if they only punish you a little, it's not a problem. RE4 had that terrible knife battle that required 3 or 4 of them, and forced you to watch all the CGI again if you screwed up. Bad, bad game design.

Dude, seriously. Keep typing like you're texting your BFF and nobody will be able to save you from the oncoming mob.

Anyway, the thing that annoys me most about gaming are games that have parts forcing you to press a button or buttons as fast as you can, mostly because to get anything decent from a minigame like that takes inhuman skill, and most people just resort to some form of cheating.

I also hate guided or demo tutorials. Just tell me what to do and I'll do it.

Use the word "you" instead of the letter "u". Two extra letters won't kill you.

On topic: Unsuspected QTE's. It's not a fun mechanism and almost always a lazy excuse for not making up interesting gameplay.

Easy end bosses suck the worst though, you play 80 hours to get to them and you wail on them for 2 minutes and they keel over what a sham...

i hate that shooting doesn't cripple... torturing the enemies in RE 4 is awesome... (i love to shoot them in the knees)... but the fun ends all too soon when they die from... knee trauma?

Personally, I hate escort missions, particularly because 95% of them are terribly executed and in turn difficult for the wrong reasons.

I suppose QTE are the worst on my vote, but im lucky enough to somehow manage to dodge games with them.

Also copy and paste your post into word, spell check, at least until you improve your grammar.

I hate having to redo crap I've already done, track back or generally go over the same shit I've already been over. There is just no excuse for this anymore, and if some retarded design decision results in me losing an hour or more of effort, that game gets welcomed to the Craigslist Express. In that, QTEs would probably get my vote, but I don't play too many FPSs and the ones I do tend to be quality games that don't pull that shit.

A more RPG-centric complaint, and one that irks me to no end, is retarded character design. I don't want to have someone who looks like they fell butt-first into the Goodwill's reject bin running around representing me. I like minimalist character design - and this means t-shirts and pants, not strappy bits of multicolored leather. And would it really drive customers away to dress your female characters in a way that could survive a light hop or stiff breeze? Actually, don't answer that, it would depress me utterly.

Quick-time events are really irritating. They were a real slap in the face on MK: Shaolin Monks. Something's seriously wrong when you can breeze through waves of enemies only to fall to the dreaded lever.

Mines not up there. I get annoyed when the game seems to really REALLY want you to die. Take WoW for example.
Everything in that game can "daze" you if you try to run away. This daze slows you down and makes you easier to kill, and when WoWs enemies are spaced the way they are if you want to retreat you'd better be ready to survive attacks from the 10+ enemies you're going to pick up as you try to run away.
