Poll: What do you prefer: Simple 3D graphics, or great 2D graphics?

I played Final Fantasy IV on DS, but after seeing pictures of the PSP version, I wish I would have waited. FFIV DS looks nice, but I really like the PSP's clean 2D graphics, it just looks a lot easier on the eyes.

So, how about you? The picture is just a sample, maybe not the best, so what do you prefer in general?

Even though I love nice 2D graphics, the DS version was a wonderful reboot for the game as a whole between the voice-overs and cut-scenes. It was nice to see 4 get a little extra touch and polish.

Great high res sprites beat blocky lego men easily in my book. On top of that, 2D development is cheaper, easier, and less time consuming.

Pfft. If it ain't ASCII, it ain't interestin'.

But I'm one of those people that as long as the game captivates me, I don't care about graphical quality.

Yeah, I much prefer good 2-D to bad 3-D. It's about a wash between good 2-D and good 3-D.
