This question came into my head about a minute ago, I've been watching The Matrix today the whole lot of them and I was thinking the Reloaded and Revolution kinda suck, I mean there not too bad but there just not too good either, I don't know what it is but they seemed less engaging they seemed dumbed down with the illusion of intelligences that serves in my eyes to make the final two pretentious rather than philisophical.
The first film was ace, it's all the way up there on my favourite films list, it was smart, it had characters that were deep and cool, it had Agent Smith probably one of the coolest movie villains there is, it had the lobby scene, the subway fight and the training room fight that is just made of win, the other movies had good fights but nothing to match the fights in The Matrix, one of the problem is that they made the agents seem underpowered, in the first film they were a big threat, they were near impossible to kill, you see one and you run, on the other movies they don't seem so intimidating, Morpheus is on par with one while on the truck were on The Matrix he got laced by smith with ease.
They seem even less of a threat when the French guy's goons posed more of a threat to Neo then the three agents at the beginning or the thousands of smiths, even the monk with the glasses (I can't remember his name Sephius or something) was on equalling Neo on fighting prowess which made the Agents seem as if there not even a threat any more.
Anyway tell me what you think. Which sucked or didn't suck and why didn't they or did the suck.
Edit: Another thing that I thought was a bad Idea was making thousands of smiths, they really should have just stuck to one Smith who was just as bad ass as Neo like the one in the end of revolutions.
