Poll: What game character role would you play

Ok first let me clear this up, I'm not talking about the characters name, I'm refering to his/her role in the game.

For example: Are you the brave hero or the evil villian. Or perhaps someone else such as the sidekick.

So if you were a character in a game what role would you play.

Please explain, why you chose your character role.

As for myself, I have chosen the neutral character, the one that isn't on either side, but has his own story to follow. He may help the hero on occasions or he might challenge him to battle.

Note: If there is any problems with this thread, or anything that confuses you in it. let me know in your reply and explain what your problem is. I'll fix it for you, till the best of my abilty.

Heh, seems like I'm the only one that would be the henchmen so far. (of all 5 people who voted just now). Really I'm that guy that follows the villain, but usually free to do as I want to do unless the villain asks me to do soemthing. I'm also that henchmen that will leave when he knows the going is getting tough, and may survive the end of the story (Alot of henchmen usually die or get captured, but hey, freelance henchmen bolt when they know they can) :3

I'd be the narrator. However, it would have to be a narrator that reacts to the player, like Bruce Campbell or something to that effect. Imagine:

Me (as narrator): What did you do that for?
Hero: He was looking at me funny.
Me: You didn't have to torch his face off!
Hero: What would you have done?
Me: Well, I would've...no.
Hero: No, what?
Me: I'm not telling you what I would have done.
Hero: Why not? YOU are supposed to be helping ME. Isn't that right?
Me: Yes, to GUIDE you along your path. If I told you, I'd break the fourth wall.
Hero: What wall?
Me: Er, nothing.

Probably the comedy side-kick. I'm a deadpan snarker if I ever saw one, and I've always known I'll probably be stabbed at a fairly young age for snarking at the wrong guy.

I'm the anti-hero, whom, despite just wanting to crawl into a hole and wallow in self pity and depression, his only friends alcohol and tobacco, seems forced by fate to use those skills he picked up from his background as the leader of a crack team of military ninja assassins to save the world from some vast shadow-government/corporate conspiracy, orchestrated by his former commander, with the help of a team of naïve, youthful rebels, who are the only ones left who can see the danger and are willing to fight the power, the leader of which happens to be a spunky young woman who has a misguided affection for me, possibly due to my rugged good looks and surly attitude, to whom I eventually warm to.

A neutral/pro-hero NPC, but in no way awesome or super. Rather, average but one who has found his niche, ie. the competent medic who never leads a charge, the friendly shopkeeper with occasional helpful advice, the street diviner peddling minor magics and simple divinations for a little coin while personally caring nothing for the troubles plaquing the land, the ship mechanic telling the hero that overloading the engines isn't exactly an advisable maneuvering strategy but if the hero really wants to blow up the ship then who am I to argue, or the local by-the-book police officer coming out to clear the latest shootout between the hero and the villains.

I'm probably the wise NPC, who keeps telling the main character exactly how he screwed up and what an idiot he is. I'd probably get maimed halfway through the game, blame the main character, and become a recurring enemy.

But I'd have a laser bear as a pet, so every encounter with me would kill the main character.

I have some questionable views, I'd be the insane but the very poise type, always having a good posture, a good suit, and insane views ^_^
