Poll: What Genre/'s do you listen to?

Hey everyone; I'm making this thread cause I was wondering what kind of music people on the escapist listen to.

Myself; I listen to Black Metal, Death Metal, Grindcore, and Dubstep; and the occasional Rap/Hip-Hop.

I listen to the not-so-heavy genres of metal, hard rock, and a little bit of pop for diversity's sake.

My favourite would have to be Groove Metal, or something. It depends what I feel like honestly.

Alternative rock, hardcore in it's many varieties, metal in it's many varieties, blues, jazz, and many other.

I mainly listen to 80s thrash metal, Prog Metal, and 90s Pop-Punk. I just don't like thrash metal nowadays, as it is a lot less melodic, while 80s thrash has things like Master of Puppets which has melodic slow section and such. Also, pop-punk nowadays is more emo-esque. A Day to Remember is okay, but I almost consider them more hardcore because of all the screaming.

Hell, some things I hate to put into categories... can't I be free to listen to music without caring? D:
Anyway, basically, I have no idea what the genres are. :|

Hey, I didn't know you like Grindcore! I LOVE grindcore; if your into the more BRUTAL grindcore - check out Abominable Putridy, Guttural Secrete, Gutrot (A lot of people say they're brutal death metal - but I consider them Grindcore); and anything that would come up on the related video's on youtube for those bands.

I guess I'll click metal as that's the majority but I HAVE 3 DOORS DOWN, bEACH BOYS, THE TEMPTATIONS, GERRY FREAKIN' HEMMINGWAY! and my personal favorite, HANS ZIMMER and beethoven.

You don't seem to have classic rock (or any rock) on your list. I listen to anything that I like, mostly slightly slower relaxing stuff.

Rock. Namely classic and stoner. Also blues and jazz. Some metal (whatever early Metallica, Primus, SoaD, RAtM, and Distrubed count as). I also listen to some punk (the Clash and NoFX namely).

Wow, from death metal to dubstep. That is quite the leap.
Personally I listen to Dubsetp, drum and bass, electro, some hard dance, and indie rock, like arctic monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs.
PS: If anything, Techno comes under the bracket of Electronic music, or dance music, not the other way round. Techno is very different, and dubstep is certainly not a sub genre of it.I voted techno, even though I don't listen to techno.

I love grindcore/deathgrind usually but recently I got Beyonce and Beethoven stuck in my head.
