Well, to anyone who has viewed any of his reviews, it becomes clearly obvious that what we are dealing with is a unique individual with an above average intelligence. But, as per the scope of this thread, just how above average are we talking about? Well, this, I leave up to my fellow members to guesstimate.

Just so that we have a scale to compare, here is a reference chart from Wiki;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IQ_reference_chart

I.Q. Range (15SD) Intelligence Classification

1-24 Profound Mental Retardation
25?39 Severe Mental Retardation
40?54 Moderate Mental Retardation
55?69 Mild Mental Retardation
70?84 Borderline Mental Retardation
85-114 Average Intelligence
115-129 Bright
130-144 Moderately Gifted
145-159 Highly Gifted
160-175 Exceptionally Gifted
Over 175 Profoundly Gifted

Also, here is another chart to explain how rare various I.Q. scores are:

http://www.iqcomparisonsite.com/IQtable.aspx

I.Q. (15SD) Rarity (1 in x)

28 1 in 1,000,000
36 1 in 100,000
44 1 in 10,000
53 1 in 1,000
65 1 in 100
80 1 in 10
100 1 in 2
120 1 in 10
135 1 in 100
147 1 in 1,000
156 1 in 10,000
164 1 in 100,000
172 1 in 1,000,000

So, yeah... Please vote and discuss further. (And yes, I do have to much time on my hands)

This.

I.Q. is not directly proportional to how smart one actually is.
Actually, it kind of does. Beecause if your brain is not capable of processing information to a certain level as others you will not be as smart as them.

Welcome to the Escapist. I must say, you've done a good job with your first thread/post here. No spelling or grammar errors(as far as I can see) and it was well-organized. And on your first day, too. You have just earned yourself the honor of being my friend.

I put about 135+. Though I think the last time I checked mine, it was about 140ish... so I dunno.

Let the fanboys have their fun.
It's not their fault they want to feel close to their idol.

Edit:
I voted 80.
He clearly has some motor function issues, based on the fact that most of his reviews claim that the control scheme is "unintuitive".
I believe that it may be the result of mild mental retardation.

I'm sure that regardless of the arbitrary number you place on him, Mr. Croshaw would be smart enough to label the creator of this thread as a 'tosser' or whatever might be appropriate and ignore the question.

Well it kind of IS their fault, if you think about it.

I mean, they choose to watch his videos and fawn over him.

@topic

While it doesn't matter, I would assume that he's mildly above average. No genius, like every thinks him to be. He may be witty, but he's no genius. ~115 I.Q.

Yahtzee is not a genious, he's just witty and articulate. Yes he uses big words, but then again this is his job and he does have access to the internet and dictionaray's. I use big words and i get mainly C's in 6th form.
Also IQ isn't a true measure of intelligence there was a deep discusiion about this in our psychology class.

aha missed this before i posted my first reply
IQ IS NOT directly proprotnial to how smart you are, kids in private schools practice IQ tests so they have higher IQ's but theyre no smarter than anyone else. IQ doesnt take into account factors such as creativity, imagination and what not. to qoute Einstein (one of the greastest minds of all time) 'imagination is more important than knowledge'
