Poll: What is your favourite kind of sword?

Yes, I know I missed a lot, but I only have 8 options.

Personally, I am a fan of the versatility offered by the Bastard sword and in most video games I'll take one if I can find one. My love of the speed of a rapier comes in second.

What about you guys?

I love the Zweihander. It literally means two handed in German.

What? Do we have to choose from existing swords? Then, just to be difficult, I'll choose the Gladius.
A nice stabby-stabby weapon on the battle field, and versatile tool off.

OT: I'd go with the bastard sword, prefferably with a kite shield, so I can switch between sword and shield tactics and two-hander tactics.

A bastard sword and a shield seems like the most versetile combination.
The possibility to go both one and two handed is good.

I usually like the more symmetrical looking sword like the broadsword or the longsword. I mean the other type of swords are fine but I like those two more.

Definately the rapier, agile, adaptable, good reach and pin-point accuracy... Not only that there is an awesome Air Defence weapon named after it (due to it having the same attributes!)

Its also a cool word!

My favorite would be the two-handed jian. I love its elegent design, extremely light weight, paper thinness and flexability. Plus it's pretty long (A guy has to compensate somehow^^)

bastard sword! variety! Slashyness! and i can actually lift one up with one hand! and in most games i play "Le tank" so i need a shield...but i would prefer a hammer if i am honest.. a saber or scimitar would be a close second.
