I figured that because 'Meet The Pyro' is pretty blatant about Pyro being female, it would make sense.
A woman robot. I thought we covered this on the other thread?! But that's just if I had my way. >.>

I think the pyro is either a robot or an alien. Because that would be cool.
I think he should be his own race/gender! Mostly because, in my opinion, the pyro is like the monsters from early silent hill games. The game lets you fill in the missing pieces, and there are a lot a missing pieces.
OT: I'm not sure if this helps prove anything but the spy and the pyro were voiced by the same person.

I always like to think of Pyro as female just to add a bit of variety. Everyone else is a dude, so I like pyro as a girl.

I am gonna go With Male because lets face it we all know that valve are just gonna wait and then reveal separate character skins wherein all the characters are female.
Masked. This is a game, not another case of political correctness gone mad, there's no NEED for a woman, TF2 is MEANT to be a joke, in my opinion - whatever valve can make funnier in the long run - it's all good with me. The masked style has always been fun - the mystery is amusing, why ruin that?! It's one of the main fads that TF2 drag along behind it.
Knowing valve they could make ANYTHING funny, but it sure doesn't mean they have to ruin things in the long term for a quick meet the Pyro amusement where the mask finally comes off and reveals -insert pyros identity here-.
I do imagine valve could tease us with the masked bit - perhaps having the mask come off slowly and dramatically - then followed by a smug spy/blue team laugh as they're mucking about with the pyros costume and mask. Then the real pyro comes in and the real meet the pyro begins!

I think it is far more fun to have some mystery left after the Meet the Pyro video is complete.
The Star Wars prequels taught me to never, ever explain too much. Otherwise, you end up with midi-chlorians. The same applies here. Explaining too much or revealing too much loses that spark of magic and mystique to the class. The Pyro is an interesting class because little is known about it, apart from a love of fire and burning things.
Do we really need to know more than that?
