damn, I couldn't fit medic in there

When I first got the Orange Box I mostly played as scout, sniper, and spy. Sniper by far the most thought with over 27 hours logged in as that class. But then I bought Call of Duty 4 and became used to that style of gameplay, not moving when you shoot, sitting still. And now I am playing Team Fortress 2 again and find I am HORRIBLE at those 3 classes because they are fast. The whole game is fast. Now I am good at the classes I was previously bad at- soldier, demoman, pyro, so now its a tie between the 3 but I still have far more hours played as sniper then anything else (the next is scout with 9 hours). I would also like to know how many acheivements you have to get to unlock the new weapons.

So what classes do you play as?

lol damnit, I was looking at it and thought "woah does the medic not count or something?"

Anyway, I use to experiment with most classes, but the Medic, (sometimes) Engineer, and the Pyro (I liked Ambushing people) were always my favorite, so if I couldn't be a medic because half the team was already full of them, then I'd go with the other two, and if that didn't work out, on territory control games I'd just pick the one that has the least amount of people playing as them, also, it depended heavily on the map.

Overall though, if Medic is available, I pick Medic - I'm a master with the Bonesaw.

All of them. But I'm better with some than others.

Pyro is the idiot's class, so I do well just running around and holding left click down.
Medic is also a pretty easy class, as long as you can hide pretty effectively and keep a line of sight at the same time.
Finally, I snipe if I need to use the bathroom.

Demoman, hard I've found to use on the go. The launcher isn't all that accurate, and the stickies aren't easy to use on the fly. But, the Demoman's just got so much character. Plus, it's doubly satisfying setting up your stickies and blowing up half the enemy team into bitesized gibblets >;D

It's usually Pyro/Engineer/Sniper but I change classes when needed.

Spy if there's a lot of sentries that hold our team back,Medic if nobody's playing one,Heavy if the map is Sniper-free.

And for the record, Pyro REQUIRES SKILL.To be honest, any class that can see you coming will kick your ass and in the medpack-happy maps of TF2,afterburn isn't much of an advantage.I do agree with Pyro's being overpowered though. +50hp is an overkill and the best way to balance this out would be either giving him 25hp or speed of a Soldier.

btw. I can't wait for the Sniper and Spy Updates. It'll will be pretty fun to play against noobs who have no idea how to play that class.

Spy by default, mainly because he's just plain fun. I use the pyro/demo occasionally.

All soldiers are talentless wastes of my oxygen. Sniper is the only class that has to work for it's crits, but I mostly play spy for the laughs.

I go Engineer most often, because on maps with a long respawn timer, I like the extra safety of defending with a Sentry that lets me do a lot less running back to the fight.

Next up is the Medic, because I love using it to kill people, if only for the humiliation effect. "Sure, I COULD uber up some Heavy, but I'd rather kick your butt myself."

Heavy, then Scout, and then after that it gets a little hazy...

I usually play as a Pyro because I like to burninate peasants. Err, the other team. Sometimes I play Demoman because of explosives, and once in a while a Soldier, Heavy, or Scout for certain situations. I'm not that into building things as Engineer, dealing with possible lag leading and my not-so-great aim as Sniper, or spending more time figuring out how I should trick the other team as Spy, and I rarely play Medic if I don't feel like directly assaulting and dying so many times.

I started out playing Soldier or Pyro since those were the simplest to start out with. I then moved to Medic and have played that class much more than any other. Since I'm not always good at these twitch-fest games I felt better suited for a support role. Yeah, maybe I couldn't go kick ass but at least I could help others to do so. I feel like I can accomplish more per life by being a Medic and healing a bunch of people and maybe deploying an uber or two before dying than by being a more offensive minded class and maybe killing one or two enemies before taking a crit rocket to the face.

The class I play least is Spy. I'm a horrible Spy. And it absolutely ticks me off that others are so damned good at it. I can't tell you how many times I have survived long enough to get to the front lines only to get backstabbed without ever having fired a shot.

Honestly...I just got the game (Orange Box for 35 bucks...not bad at all)...and I haven't played yet... Something about online FPS that shy me away, as I'm not that good at them to begin with...

I'm the bastard who retaliates to being spawn camped by glitching a sentry in the enemy base*,the one and only engineer.

*retliation only!
