Ok... what if... Israel wasn't in the middle east, but instead we got rid of wyoming and put it there???

now think about it. They wouldn't be surrounded by countries that hate them, everyone wins! (except the 6 people who live in wyoming)

This. Personally, if I was king of the world. Jerusalem would be the Capitol of the Terran alliance. Oh and screw you Xeno scum, you ain't getting into that trade agreement, in fact, am already asking the USS Failship to prep an invasion on your gaseous planet of Failpiter.

ps. our terran marines are also equipped with lolipops, and i know how contagious you aliens bastards are to mint lolipops, so ... uh ... have a nice genocide!

On-topic (LoL) : Israel is here to stay. Grow up, and stop wasting time on semantics of the past. Focus on the future.

I don't really like the idea of establishing a country as a safe haven for a people and then putting it right in the center of their (and other's) holy land. I think it was a bad call because it invites religious overtones into every conflict in the region internal and external. I'm a big fan of the separation of church and state. This... well, it thins that separation and creates nationalism and fanaticism on both sides.

I really don't like the idea of people fighting for holy land.

Oh...that's...no...no, that's NOT a good idea!

Instead of angry Arabs you'd have angry rednecks! I mean, just imagine it for a second...

Instead of car bombs there would be big horn sheep wired with TNT, suicide bomber cowboys, drive by lynchings, 72 brothels in heaven instead of 72 virgins! It'd be like the Wild West in the Middle East. With bagels.

Not too mention the Native Americans would crap a buffalo! I could hear Chief Crazy Horse now..."You bent us over for HOW many centuries and then just GAVE our land away? Forget the casinos, IT'S ON NOW PALE FACE!"

All kidding aside, I've been to Israel and I could never get how the most God forsaken terrain on Earth could be consider the Holy Land by THREE different religions! The frikkin' Moon is more habitable!

Jerusalem is more habitable than San Diego, at least...

If Israel didn't exist, there would be zero problems in the Middle East. Of that I'm sure.

Probably not - don't kid yourself - but they certainly wouldn't have to do with Israel.

Your sarcasm detector was faulty then. I may not be entirely correct, but I was being serious...climate-wise, of course.

Give me a break, I'm from a desert. I'm hard-wired to think that a city with 28 times my area's average rainfall is inherently more habitable.

You ever heard of the Sunni and the Shia?
Don't forget the Kurdish. It's not like it's only Arab versus Israeli. There are all kinds of culture clashes in the middle east, and some of them aren't so happy about Western influence.
