Poll: What to do about N. Korea (and other thorns in the side of humanity)

I'm not going to add much of a poll because the exact execution of the second option would be vital. Explain as deeply as you perfer, I like debatable tactics.

Well I havent done any specific reseach but I hear Kim Jong Il is a bit crazy, shouldnt we neutralize his weapons before he gets a deathwish?

We choke them off. Kim Jong Un will inherit power soon, he might be more open to talk with the world. Besides, China isn't their friend anymore, they have no connections.

Choke 'em off? Like we did with Cuba? That seemed to work.

The society is going to collapse, and there will be an eventual reunification with south korea. sure, its going to be a lot like denmark merging with haiti, but personality cults like noko tend to have problems with succession after more than a couple generations.

China hasn't completely distanced itself off from North K. Sure they frown at them from time to time, but they still show a fair bit of support for Kim. Most of the current problems are because he's trying to secure his power after the stroke, so i reckon killing him quietly would be a good option. We also should neutralize his supply of nuclear material. We do that and i reckon the country would fold into itself, like all top-heavy nations. Oh, and stop giving them aid money, just aid food.

Kim Jong Il is a pipsqueak. Even if he tries anything I doubt China would fund him, and then it would all fall apart.

They import quite a bit of fuel... An economic stranglehold may be needed to fix the problem. Can't build nukes without transportation, materials, equipment, etc.
