What Point of view do you prefer while you are writing a book/fan-fiction/etc?

First Person,
Second Person,
Third Person (Lim),
Third Person (Omni),
or
Alternating Person?

I picked the last one because I like all of them.

2nd person is particularly cool, though, due to its involvement in choose-your-own-adventure stories.

First person is my favorite. If you write a decent protagonist, then it's worth getting inside their head a bit more.

I think my favorite is third-person omnipotent. I hate first person a lot because you know the main character is going to live.

I enjoy writing from a third person perspective.

And if my writing is any hint, I like the perspective of a sarcastic god essentially taunting everyone in the events.

Third-person limited right now, just because I've had the most experience using it. It lets you get inside the protagonist's head but doesn't restrict you as much as the first-person in terms of descriptions and such.

I think third person limited allows the story to be given room to breathe, while still being able to focus on a main character, and you can empathise a lot easier with them because you are still told the story through the lens of their viewpoints, but first person often just leads to a self insert fan fiction-y situation.

Generally, third person. However, I admire people who can write well in first person--there's some really great stuff out there.

This is a difficult one. 90% of the time I write in the Third Person but occasionally I dip into First Person to get more of a grip on what the character is thinking. I know this can be done in third person put it sometimes just feels right to enter the characters head at particularly "busy" times.

I tired working in first person alternating characters once. Didn't get too far, but I thought it worked well enough.
You had the main character who was a mercenary guy who nearly died in pretty much every incident, while the other character was the antagonist who got reports of what the first guy was doing against him and his reactions to these actions.

Depends on what I'm writing and what point of view I think works best. Usually though I prefer first person so that's what I chose.

Most of the time Third Person Limited. It can add tension to the story like you're watching it in real time, so you don't know who may or may not die. But occasionally I like First Person, just to mix things up

I tend to go for third person limited. Leaves me quite a lot of room for creativity with actions, while keeping it easy to manage.
