So, What would happen if it was removed one day? Like Steam just went down permanently? Like a Steam powered Nuke, Crashing into multiple country's
Well, For starters, Millions or even Billions of dollars would be lost due to the end of steam, Many people for the first few days would wonder why steam is staying down, And send many e-mails hoping for answers. But none of them are ever address, so it keeps people wondering.
For the next few days, People try to migrate to other online digital distribution sites, in hopes of capturing the same magic steam had. Many would still be outraged a valve for shutting down there biggest money maker they had ever had. And adding the fact that they spent money on games, and will never git that money back. Due to the limited online licence you get when you buy a game online.
A few fanboys will attempt to give reasons as to why it happend, like stress or due the governments not liking what valve were doing. But they would mostly be shut down, as there ideas as to why would be over looked by the people outraged. Oh, And many valve centered channels will be reduced to finding out what really happen.
Many company's would also take advantage of the loss of steam, Racking in many people who still love online distribution and all their sweet, sweet money. And many would have a new moto, Keep releasing more games, Don't be like Valve. Sure it's not catchy, but you do get the point.
