Poll: whats the main reason you play multiplayer?

the main reason i play multiplayer is for the challenge, i mostly play RTS games and in my opinion nothing is more satisfying than facing some one of my skill level and having a very close fought battle and seeing a well thought out strategy leading to my victory is always the icing on the cake, and when i lose i almost always learn something to make me a better player preferably by talking strategy with them or even having multiple re-matches if their a nice guy

so escapist's why do you play multiplayer?

Mostly for lols, usually laughing at how bad things get for anyone sometimes, even for me.

The last tie I played a multiplayer game was UT about 13 years ago.

I tried CoD a few years back and didn't like it so gave up.

The only MP I have played recently is ME3.

I play it for the same reason I play all video games, to have fun. If I don't have fun, I don't play it.

I cant play multiplayer.

I'm not gonna pay $100 for a router.

But when I get the chance to play online I just go around trolling people and teabagging there corpse.

I just like the idea that I am playing with other people and not some AI like they feel/ reaction the same way I do. Yes I have to deal with the asses out there but sometime they are alright players who I can have fun with.

I like the competition . I never realised how competitive i was until i played UMVC3 . I like thinking up new strategies and combos while at work and rushing home to see if it works . And the adrenalin rush of either beating another player ( of my skill level) to a pulp or getting beat within an inch of my life and making a comeback .

I would like to compete in tournaments just to see what it's like . Although i know i'll never be the very best , i'd still like to try it out.

The only two multiplayers I'm currently playing are ME3 and Assassin's Creed

I plays it for funs.
It can be frustrating at first, but it gets better at around level 10ish where you figure out what role you want to take/what role places you in first every game. Then it becomes fun.

There are multiple reasons.

I usually play FPS's so here are mine

1- You fight against real people meaning that the enemy is always different. You do almost the same as you did in the singleplayer (shoot bad guys in the face) but now the enemy can be a total coward or a crazy maniac.

2- I like to play with some friends and while we are not the most "tactical" group we still try to coordinate some things. It feels good when you save a friend from a situation.

3- It's never exactly the same, some times its dull and others its very exciting with some very cool moments (and since those moments weren't scripted they feel even bettter).

Generally speaking I don't really play multiplayer often. But I was playing a bit of quake live last night and I enjoyed it. So when I do play multiplayer it's just for fun.

To have fun. Although the game I have spent most time playing the multiplayer on has been Snoopy Flying Ace where I was actually quite good too, but it's not the kind of game you play for any other reason.
