I've been thinking of shelling out my Xbox 360 for a Nintendo Wii U. Yeah, I can get a lot of it's games on better consoles, but at least the system is doing something new, with it's new controller, and their are at least a couple of exclusives for it. I look at the games coming out for 2013 for the PS3 and360, and I look at the games this year and the last few, I honestly can't see myself playing it anymore. Can anyone name an exclusive that's come out for the 360, that isn't a Kinect title or Gears of War and Halo? Don't get me wrong, I love Gears and Halo, but those are not enough to keep me interested. I still prefer playing FPS games and Racing games with a 360 controller, but I could alway buy a PS3 controller that's similar to it. I'm trying not to come off like some PS3 fanboy, but it's just how I feel. Do you guys feel that it's worth keeping?

You aren't alone in that remark. My 360 has been collecting dust for well over a year now and I'm planning on canning my live membership. It's very much a dead console given that the PS3 now offers better benefits with playstation plus, and at least the Wii U has some interesting titles on it. Also, my gaming computer out performs the 360 and any multiplatform game that comes out will most likely be bought for the PC, including Bioshock Infinite.

Scrap it. There is no reason to pay microsoft for keeping MP hostage and for "benefits" such as netflix and adds plastered EVERYWHERE. Microsoft arcade was great 3 years ago but now developers are free from their draconian rules. You can get all the arcade games you could play in a lifetime on a pc.

If Halo isn't your thing and you don't have friends to play with on Xbox Live, it's better to get a WiiU.

I'm wondering more and more why I haven't gotten a PS3 yet... although I don't mind a little Halo 1 once and awhile.

The online system of the Xbox 360 is still far superior to the PS3 (I have both consoles). So unless multiplayer isn't your thing, I'd suggest you keep it.

Apart from FPS and Forza the 360 is a POS when it comes to AAA exclusives.

It's niche games like shmups and XBLA where the 360 still has a ton of exclusives.

The question one needs to ask themselves is: is it five bucks a month plus ads better? I'm not trying to imply that Xbox Live is horrible, but I'm trying to say that it's not as simple as one being better than the other. Of course, I don't own an Xbox, and I've never played an online game on my PS3, so I'm really not a good judge here.

Anyway, if you don't use it, and don't see yourself using it in the near future, then you don't really have a reason to keep it. Just remember that if you did want it back, it will cost you more than you got for it.

I only keep it around for console exclusives. If I had a PS3 to go along with my PC, I suppose it would pretty much be around just for Halo.

I don't suppose Arcade games like Minecraft or The Dishwasher could convince you otherwise?

Though to be fair, those were the only two I could think of.

Don't think so either. Hardly touched my 360 since I bought my PS3 over three years ago. When I have it's only because the living room TV(where my PS3 is connected) was occupied and I had nothing else to do at all.

The only time I ever use my 360 is when I'm in the mood to play Rez HD, Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun, or Fez. So basically if there was no XBLA it would have disappeared from my living room a long time ago. I burned myself out on Gears, never liked Halo, and quit paying money every year to be bombarded by ads when Sony charges me less and gives me a bunch of games to play free on my PS3 and Vita. Multiplat - PC. I keep the PS3 for the plus, Infamous 1/2, Heavy Rain, Demon's Souls, Ico/SotC, Uncharted, Valkyria Chronicles...you get the idea. Even though I have a PC, if a console has superb 1st parties and 3rd party support, you have earned my support.

The only reason my x-box has been fired up in the past month is Halo 4, the last time it was used was Bastion, that's about it. I have no plans to get rid of mine... Then again there is an Intellivision in my living room too.

The thing with the Xbox is that most multi platform games are made for it first and then ported over to the other consoles. I've noticed that a lot of the games I have for PS3 load faster and run better on my friends Xbox than on my PS3. But apart from that there's not really that much of a benefit to it.

Eh, I never even got an Xbox. I never got a PS3 either mind you, and whist its the console with the most potential for me to get it I'm unlikely to get a WiiU either. PC covers all the bases, minus Gears and Halo, and has a few of its own too.
The WiiU I'm interested in pretty much for the same reason you are - it does something different. It being more powerful than the other consoles is an extra plus, but what has me interested is how it will implement touchscreen controls.
Overall I don't see a lot of point in the Xbox or PS3 though. Bar the exclusives, which aren't that interesting IMO, everything they do is done better by my PC, and they don't have something interesting like the touch screen controller either.

...because I can still play the older games that I enjoy on it?

Admittedly, I don't pay much attention to AAA releases anymore, but there's still plenty that the 360 has to offer me, admittedly few and far between as time goes on.

Fighting games are the only reason to keep it I can think of to be fair, and a few games here and there that are not available on the pc. I think I'd keep it. The Wii u library that good that it's worth it to trade?

I still play games on mine while my PS3 is cooling off and I have a lot of good games on it. Until the Durango console comes out, I'll still play 360 a lot and even afterwards, I'll still keep it around just like my PS2 now and my N64 before I gave it away.

Thats kinda funny. The notion of giving up a 360 for a WiiU. I swear, some peoples kids.

Ok, Well yanno for all the PS3 claims of it just does everything, you know what I did last night? I took my 360 into the bedroom, connected it to one of my 3 monitors on my primary system, then on my HTPC ran a Windows Media Center extender. Coupled it with the Clear QAM tuner on the Home theater PC, and now my HTPC is not only a media server, my 360 acts as a wireless cable box for which I can tune my cable TV signal live from the 360.

And you know what else I can do? I can go into any pawn shop in the US and find an infinitely wider selection of 360 games than other platforms at dramatically less expense.

To each their own. I mean technically I have 360, ps3, ps2, PC with an extensive library (no thanks to steam) that dwarfs physical, as well as a shibby lil android KIRF. So I fault no one for their personal flavor. But If you cant see the advantages of having a 360 in this day and age, then perhaps there is no reason for you to keep it.

Unless of course you do not like waiting for exclusive delayed and working PS3 DLCs and such. Wonder how PS3 users of anything from Bethesda feel right about now?
