As I browse these forums I see a vast difference in types of posts. Some posts are incredibly well-thought out and structured, while others are a mess of immaturity (sometimes lacking any decent punctuation) and it makes me wonder:
"How old is the person typing this?"
The Escapist forums must house a variety of age groups and it'd be nice to see just how many there are in each range.
And, as an added discussion point, tell "us" about any occasion when you have been mistaken for older (or younger) than you are. Also, working under the assumption that everyone at the Escapist is a "gamer" in some form or another, tell us what age you were when you started gaming.
[sup]This is my first thread creation on The Escapist so I hope I've mentioned enough points to get a good discussion going[/sup]

I'm 27.
First gaming experience was on the Commodore 64, and I think the game was Paperboy. I would have been around 8/9, I think.
The other day at a pub (in the middle of the afternoon), I was with a friend (who is 18 - live in the UK btw, so we're both of legal drinking age) and even though I was buying soft drinks, we were both asked for ID.
