I favor the shotgun if we take all context out of the equation. The Battle Rifle is probably my most USED weapon but I don't really care for it's style.

Turret Gun (instead of Turrent) is my favourite. I love all of them but walking into a conflict with the massive gun on your side spinning madly while throwing steaming hot lead at your enemies while you yell "Cry some more, Cry Some More!" (I don't really yell into my mic) and then after a few seconds of destruction and panic everyone in your field of view is dead. Best Gun, hands down.

Oddly enough, I can't stand playing as the heavy in TF2. Strange that.

Shotgun. I'm sort of partial because I like the way the announcer goes "Shotgun spree!". Also, I actually managed to scrape an "Open Season!" once.

Straight up.

I really, really like the Assault Rifle.
Especially in objective-based games. Two second burst + melee make it a decent ambush weapon, too. Close-range, it does a lot more damage per second than the BR and almost as much as the shottie.

In single player, though, it's gotta be the .50 cal turret gun.
Especially since single shots (tapping the trigger) are very accurate and do slightly more damage than a magnum shot. It's fantastic.
