I just really wanted to know which is the most popular.
I have a feeling i know what its going to be, but people have a right to vote on what they think is the best.

For me its TBS games like Endwar for the Xbox 360 and Rome:total war for the PC.
Just two examples

Really it could be anyone of these for me, but I'm going to pick the obvious and go with FPS.

My favourite genres are FPS, RPG and RTS, but I can't decide on which one I like the most, they're all so great.

Years ago I would have had to say FPS as there have been nearly 2 decades worth of consistently good (and occasionally abysmal) shooters made. That was until I discovered Planescapes: Torment in a bargain bin about 7 years ago. After that it was Baldur's Gate 2 and Neverwinter Nights, following which I never looked back and I'm still ecstatically "shaking hands with the unemployed" (heh) over the few games in recent years that have allowed you to play RPGs in a more immersive and action oriented way. In case you haven't guessed yet, yes I love Fallout 3 and every now and then I still get this twitchy urge to play the (extremely buggy yet somehow still sublime) Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines.

Just to clear up for some people who may want to post here and may get confused.
Games like dawn of war and age of empires are rts games.
You and the enemy build buildings against each other, build an army, and attack the other.
tbs games are like Endwar and the total war series. You do all your building while the pc takes a quick break. this way you can analyse what the enemy is currently building and where their armys are positioned. Then you click an end turn button or sometimes, when your finished moving, the pc will end your turn automatically and the opposition will do all of its building and stuff, in 5 seconds, before its your turn again.

rpg-unlike some people i can stand the repetitive missions just to level up my charactor
Me too.
When you sit and think about it it seems stupid and boring, sitting around doing the same thing all the time, but it makes it all worth while when that little number goes up from 6 to 7.
and i cant for the life of me think why!

It doesn't have a cool three letter acronym, so it can't be in the poll lol.

Think one up and maybe he'll add it!

I prefer third-person shooter games, but in a press, out of the genres listed above, I'd go with RPGs. I know in my heart this applies only to BioWare RPGs and some older PC titles like the first two Fallout games and Morrowind. Recently, though, outside of BioWare's KOTOR and Mass Effect, I haven't played a good RPG in a while. Oblivion was boring, Fallout 3 was a disappointment to the series, and I can't stand turn-based combat so I stay away from most JRPGs.

On topic, I like FPS and RTS.
