Poll: What's your favourite type of gun and why?

Just like it say's in the title.

Personally, I'm a bolt-action no-scope rifle fanatic.
Any opportunity I get for finding one in a game, I instantly fall in love with it.
Regardless whether I'm been swarmed by enemies. >_>

*Sigh* *Flashback to the good old COD World at War Dedicated Bolty servers...*

Anyway, I feel a great sense of satisfaction laying a carefully aimed shot down my ironsights instead of using a scope.

So in gaming, what kind of guns do you tend to gravitate towards and why?

Assault rifles in games like left for dead. Spray and pray baby! Snipers sometimes.

Revolvers.
I like their power, their design and their history, back in the Wild West, I loved how it wasn't about the gun but how you used it, Revolvers remind me of that time.

I tend to go assault rifle in most games, though I won't say no to a nice overpowered handgun.

A pistol, silenced. Because I'm more of the sneaky spy type (but not a sniper, the risk of being up close is part of the fun)

OT: I tend to prefer scoped assault rifles in games, good old all purpose weaponry. For looking good though, revolvers and flintlocks have an unmatched level of classiness.

In the real world I stand by my edict that "guns are for sissies", however in gaming the halo 3 Battle rifle will always have a special place in my heart.

I'm a gun owner, and have a thing for semi-automatic rifles, particularly wood and steel ones, none of that polymer bollocks.

The Polish SKS is god-tier, I'd love to own one.

Revolvers, and not particularly overpowered magnum shooters either, but those which balance power, accuracy, and rate of fire to provide a simple, yet elegant weapon which does everything it's expected to do.

Shotguns

Battle rifles. Plain and conventional. Like the M1 Garand.
And revolvers as long as they're very plain and generic. I like things that way. Just as they are.

Snipers. I like stealth, and the idea of taking out groups without them even seeing me. In video games, it also suits my play style well, as I generally like to take a fairly slow pace in combat and map out my surroundings. I don't like getting surprised or jumped.

A second would be revolvers, just 'cause of how cool they are. They're small and yet pack a major punch.

I'm a fan of handguns, myself. Not like a magnum, but I don't really prefer revolvers or pistols. I GUESS I like pistols more, but the revolver has a certain coolness-factor to it.

I like handguns because they're small, easily-concealed, graceful and elegant. I find they're a lot less clunky than other guns. Besides, I'm best with a handgun because I have great hand-eye coordination but terrible upper body strength, so the weight of anything bigger really throws off my otherwise great aim.

I'm an assault rifle man myself, damn things are versatile and I love my stepdad's M4A1

If not I'm also a fan of battle rifles, and love my SKS

It's a tie between Assault Rifle and Submachine gun, Assault Rifle because I use them in most games but Submachine gun because if you hand me one in CS:S I will dominate an entire server and make people ragequit.
