I took an actual one when I was going into High School to determine if I was supposed to be in this advance class. I got a 140, just enough to take the class.
Of course, IQ tests are now understood to not be an accurate way of measuring intelligence...so yeah, the IQ test I took qualifies as hours of my life wasted. If the real version was a waste of life, I'm going to assume the internet version is too.
Revolt against all of these pigeon holing tests and go out to live life! Support real intelligence in all of your actions and daily life!

When I was actually tested a loooong time ago, I got a 139. The online test thingy said 156. I don't need an IQ test to tell me I'm smart, I already know that, going to college two years early. I don't personally believe that an IQ test can accurately represent intelligence, but, hey, it impresses some people.

Psychologists use still use IQ tests all the time. Yeah, old ones from the 50s are now considered to be inaccurate, but they've updated them to account for that.
The only people who go on about IQ tests being inaccurate are people on the internet who have just posted their IQ to show of how high it is but still want to be considered modest.
Internet IQ tests are a waste of time. It's virtually impossible to test IQ without actually observing the subject, and they're usually designed to flatter the user to convince them to buy something.

I prescribe to the idea of multiple intelligences. Having taken an IQ test I can say it doesn't test every intelligence. Ala, an IQ test is not an appropriate measure of your intelligence.Maze1125 said:

Also, simply because Psychologists use IQ tests "all the time" doesn't make it right.
IQ isn't age related. It's a test of ones ability to solve problems of logic. Very influential in math, influential in science and business, barely influential in arts.Old Trailmix said:
