Poll: When its your team that cheats

Plenty of us who play online multiplayer, no matter what system, has likely played against cheaters. Many of us likely may have called them out, or gotten upset. It is annoying to lose because the enemy team is glitching into unkillable locations just to snipe us from out of the map.

But what do you do when YOUR team is cheating?

It is not so bad when you're not the one dealing with it. So do you let it go? Maybe you prefer to aid them even? Or do you call out all cheaters, friend or foe?

Similarly, what if it is your friend? Would you report your own friends for cheating?


I have reported friends for glitching, though so far just for Gears of War.
When my team cheats though, sometimes I honestly just ignore it to an extent. I wont call them out or help them, but I wont go out of my way to fix it either, though I may report quietly.

I'll play through the game with them and after I ask why they can't just play like normal people and not use some glitch or mod to not suck.

When anyone cheats I ignore them. I just avoid that player's line of sight to the best of my ability and kill of the other team mates that aren't cheating. If it's my team mate, yay team.

Stealth reporting is the best thing to do, or just ignore it, and try and play as fairly as you possibly can. Not much else you can do really.

Get annoyed and find a new server.
I wouldn't report them because I don't report any hackers or whatever, too much effort.

I think the closest thing my team had come to cheating was boosting for headshots in a Private public match. They needed me so that no one else could join the game

I didn't mind and just went off and tried glitches.

Unless you count modded controllers as cheating, but the person who used it really did need an upperhand.

It depends on whether they are being funny or not.

If they're just competitive children then I will report them etc. If they are trolling hard I will probably join in.

This, although it's just my opinion I think it's wrong to cheat in any way shape or form. It just ruins the fun for everyone so what's the point to it?

when I see an aim botter in bad company 2 I tend to either get in the way so they cant make any shots if ff is off and if its on then I tk the fuck out of them, assuming they dont leave the server after being called out on it

I have a policy of calling out, report and team-kill every hacker I see on my team^^

If everyone did what, what fun would there be in cheating?

I'll happily kick/call out my team mates for hacking, I'll even record a demo for when I'm speccing them.

If the game isn't balanced it's not fun for either team, if I win because my team was hacking it's even worse than if I got stomped because I'm not getting any better.

I'd prefer to be against a hacker than on their team.

Team Kill. I've nuked bases in star craft when i realise my ally had done something to allow his troops to cross inpassable terrian. They ignored it completely so i dropped the bomb pretty badly on them. Needless to say that my other ally was displeased but i accepted the choice to join the other team against him.

No in anygame i'll ethier report, get in the way or teamkill till he/she starts playing fair/honourably again. The only exceptiong to this is if we are in a private match and everyone knows whats going on ahead of time. I treat them as if they are my opponent.

I can't say. The only time I've played with others was Halo matches and they were on the same screen, so all teams were cheating (screen watching). I try, but with such a small screen it's hard to focus on just your own screen.

Report them and leave game, doesn't matter what team they are on. Hate all of them.

I play in a team of 3 on L4D leaving the last spot for some random player, and this random player often assumes we aren't glitching our way through the game because we're unaware of the glitches, we ask him to stop, if he doesn't then we kick him.

If someone on my team is cheating or other stuff like that I just (if it's possible) kill them and then report them, then keep killing them for the rest of the game...

nope i hate cheaters. cheating is only for single player games that you have already beaten and want to get more fun out of.

cheating has NO place in multiplayer gaming.
