Soooo.... Yeah when Top5 started out I was less than impressed. "Top 5 craziest footware"?? Puuh-lease. But i persisted in watching and after a few episodes Lisa started to seriously come up with the goods, interesting topics and funny skits. By the time that we had reached "Top 5 Old-School Disney games" this stuff was solid gold, and a perfect lighthearted companion to "The Big Picture" with its more serious branch of geek discussion on the tuesday lineup.
Apparently Jimquisition is replacing her (so i have heard, this might not be the case so correct me if im wrong) and having watched his show i am less than happy. No offense to Jim, but why is he neccesary? His first video is basically just re-treading ground already covered (and covered in more detail with far more structured arguements and analysis) by Extra Credits, and we already have Moviebob and Yahtzee doing the finest possible rantings on, repectively; Nerd culture/movies and Games. So again: why is he neccesary? Hes not, and the quality of his show will have to rocket to change my mind on this. Top5 was something different, something that didnt take itself seriously and i am VERY F****ING UNHAPPY that it seems to have gone.

Bottom line: YOU KIDNAPPED THE PRETTY GIRL AND REPLACED HER WITH A FAT MAN IN AN OVERCOAT >;( BRING BACK LISA DAMN IT!!!! NOW!!

Even if Lisa wasn't always the highest quality of content the fact is it was at least something different. A palate cleanser, if you will. If it's true that Jim has replaced her, it's a crying shame. Sorry Escapist, but we don't need another angry ranting guy with the same opinion as pretty much every other angry ranting guy already on the site.. especially when the new angry ranting guy's videos look worse than most of what's found in the dark forgotten tunnels beneath Youtube.

Not to mention that there's a certain cockney brogue missing from Jim's repertoire, odd given a man of his...presence. Then again, Tay Zonday has a marvelously deep voice and he's as thin as a bean pole.

That said, if Miss Foyles is moving on it'll be a real shame, Top 5 had great production values, a simple format and was most of the time rather charming and cuddly inducing.

That pretty much says it all. I didn't watch Lisa's show religiously, but did I ever religiously watch her boo--I mean, yes, Jim is redundant. Or so he was in the first episode.

I stopped watching Jim's show after about 30 seconds because it just wasn't very good. If it's true that Top 5 is being replaced by Jimquisition, I will be incredibly disappointed.

while the internet is full of top 5/10 videos, at least Lisa presents it well. She's good at entertaining her audience. This guy, I think I'll give one more episode to shape up, or I'm off. I don't think he will though. Let's just say we already have our sarky, average-in-appearance british guy doing the humor we do best. He's a hell of a lot better than this one, too. And he has a badass hat, not a pair of sunglasses that scream "I'm a twat! Take potshots with your air rifles and bb guns, because if anybody deserves to be mildly wounded, it's me!"

To be honest, I didn't know Jim was replacing Lisa. I was worried he might be phasing out Yahtzee, because he's coming from a similar angle, albeit terribly.

Edit: I watched a couple of episodes of top 5, so not really a religious viewer either, but I immediately thought: "okay, this is pretty good."

Oh yes. Her. I only watched maybe two videos, but an alarming thing I found was that close to anyone who badmouthed her got mod wrath. Many suspensions because of her.

Don't care about her, but I prefer her gone.

Actually I was referring to her series getting canned and replaced with inferior programming but at least her name is spelled correctly now.

I, at least, would like to know whats up.

I'm definitely missing her Top 5 - it was a nice lighthearted bit of fun and silliness for me.

I will definitely miss it if she's really gone.

I'm not that big on her videos but I'd rather look at her than some fat guy. she's not all that funny, but with Yahtzee Extra Credits and Movie Bob talking about the stuff I come to the escapist to view, having eye candy was a good thing.
