Playstation, I had wanted a 64 at first, but PSOne's game list changed my mind. I think it had better RPGs (even better than most consoles today) with a strong line of of Breath Of Fire 3 & 4, Final Fantasy Tactics, Xenogears, Parasite Eve. N64 had some great games too but what can I say I just got into RPGs back then and PS1 did not disappoint.

I hope I posted that right, anyone care to show me how to embed youtube on here?... assuming I DIDN'T mess it up?
you were close, there's only one equals sign.

Also, I had a PS1, I've only had the Sony Consoles after the Genesis generation went away. I did have an Xbox for a while but I sold that to buy my PS3. I miss that old system, and I lost most of my games over the years. I'd give a lot to find my copy of Thrasher: Skate and Destroy and THPS2

Never got into N64 games. I only had human hands and the PS1 catered to that. An overwhelming catalog of games helped too.

Me and all my friends were N64 people.

I didnt really know many who had a PS1. The people that usually liked the PS1 were FF7 fanboys or people who thought they were awesome getting heaps of copied games when they go to asia.

Pretty much neither. I still had my Sega Genesis then and I played it more than anything.

I didn't have either, but I wanted the N64. I played hours and hours of Goldeneye and Lylat Wars (aka StarFox 64) at a friends place. Hell, my wife bought an N64 off of ebay back when we were dating and we played the hell out of Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario 64, even though I had a PS2 and Xbox.

I found the load times of the PS1 really offputting, and none of the games I saw (granted, not many) seemed like very much fun.
