Poll: Which Dawn of War game was the best? (including expansions)

As the title says, which Dawn of War game did you think was the best. This means the story, gameplay/new additions, races etc. I would have to say the first Dawn of War is my favourite, it had a brilliant story with amazing characters; it was denfinatly the most memerable for me. So my fellow Escapists, which is your favourite?

I've only played the Dawn of War II games (I recently bought the first games but I'm finishing up Retribution right now) but I have to say out of those, I liked Chaos Rising the best. I really liked the fact that the traitor could be different depending on their corruption.

Of course, I think the Dawn of War II games are great, as RTS's, they aren't very good. Honestly, I think they play more like action/RPG's in a way. So, I can understand why fans of the first and it's expansions dislike it.

I was going to opt for Dark Crusade, but I enjoyed being able to play as the Dark Elder and Sisters of Battle. I wasn't big on the air units, they didn't really fit the scale very well and just didn't work in the game very well. I've always wanted to play DoW2 but my laptop can't handle it.

Im gonna go dark crusade, I got so much gameplay out of that, followed by dow2 retribution then dow winter assualt then the other dow 2 games then the original then soulstorm (the flying units just annoyed me)

Dark Crusade the style of campaign was what I really like and even though soulstorm was similar it just wasn't done as well.

Dark Crusade was gloriously broken in terms of gameplay, but i loved it. It had charm.

No matter what game I'm currently playing, Dark Crusade is always a nice change up.
