Poll: Which game should i get mass effect 2 or bad company 2?

I can only buy one and i need a game that will last me till halo reach.I like the story of mass effect but i also like multiplayer which is also why i like bad company so please help.Oh crap ya i was about to put the poll but i accedently pressed enter.

Erm, Mass 2 I've managed to have the game last 24+ hours on the first playthrough, but I imagine BC2 will keep you longer due to multiplayer,

I'd say Mass Effect 2. Compelling and well told story? Check. Awesomely badass characters? Check. Just all around fun game? Check.

It's just one of my favorite games and I found BC 2 just kind of meh. Nothing bad, nothing good.

I'd go ME 2, but I prefer rpgs. There's definitely A LOT of hours in it for you, despite not having multiplayer.

If you have played ME1, go buy ME2. If not, buy ME1. It is pure awesome.

Just ask yourself a simple question: Is narrative important to you?

Bad Company 2 is a fantastic game. It's a well realised modern warfare skirmish game- tense, unforgiving, carnal fun... and that's all it is. There are a lot of people who can throw themselves at this experience all day, every day for weeks or months. If you're one of them, this is for you.

Mass Effect 2 is a brilliant RPG, easily the best of Bioware's current bunch provided you're receptive to the sci-fi setting. It has a superb story, a steady stream of new content being released (not for free mind you), and it warrants repeated plays which absorb about 30 hours a pop- you'll be playing for a month solid before you've seen most of the content and outcomes, and you'll probably be happy about the necessity of this investment.

These are two VERY different ideas. Surely, you must feel a leaning more toward one than the other? =) Good luck.

I say ME2 by a mile, and I've played Bad Company 2 for some 70 hours. ME2 is still the superior game in just about every way possible, unless you simply NEED to shoot other people online.
Even then, ME2 is better...

Depends. If you like interesting weapons and vehicles mostly I suggest bad company, but if you prefer a good story then mass effect is a very good choice.

I'd say Mass Effect 2. Presumably you'll be enjoying both the single and multiplayer elements of the new Halo. BF:BC2 has a poor single player so multiplayer is its main draw, but if you're using the game as pre-Halo fodder, may as well get the game that has an immersive single player, that you can feel free to come back to at any point.

If ya like alot of talking characters in a game, then ME 2.

If ya like to blast away alot of characters in a game, then BC 2.

Just a non-hating question. But why in the world would anyone say that ME2 was better than ME1? Both Combat and Story were extremely dumbed down.

I will agree that Mass Effect's story and technical RPG elements were better than ME2's, but ME2 had better combat (imo), better visuals (no texture pop-in, compare Garrus in both games, etc.), the acting was even better if you could imagine that, and I just have more fun playing it. In a few years my opinion might change simply do to the fact that ME2 is a more recent game, but for now I place ME2 right above its predecessor.

(ME1's story is still probably my favorite of all games ever made though)

ME1 is the best game on the 360, so go buy ME2! It's not as good as the first one because they removed lots of the biotic abilities and made guns more annoying and a glitchy cover system, but it's all round a good game.
