well I have played the demo for Brutal Legend and played Fallout 3 at my friends house they both look good and both are pretty much the same blood and gore everyone has come used to, Fallout 3 has the quests and such which are awesome, but then Brutal Legend has very good comedy
I'm voting Fallout 3, but i'm biased, as i haven't seen much into Brutal Legend. But yeah, you should really say more about what kind of games you like.
It really depends on what kind of game you prefer, I suggest you check out gameplay footage of both, that's a very good start
I'd get FO3... more stuff for your money, considering the DLC packs.

If action RPG is your thing Fallout if hacky slashy and Jack Black is your thing then Brutal Legend
Why is it some people go to the internet for advice on what games to buy, whenever there met with a choice?
I mean I could tell you what game to get but what if you disagree with my opinion and wished you bought the other choice instead.
Basically what am saying is "take your wallet go to your nearest game store, and simply follow your instincts".
Also, if you want both but only have enough money for one, then buy one and save up more money for the other one.
However if money isn't a problem and you can afford both then by all means go right ahead.

Well if you're a big time fan of Heavy metal and Rock and such then I'd highly advise Brutal Legend for the pure awesome badasstardness of it. I mean you get Jack Black, Rita Ford, Rob Halford, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Killmiester and Tim Curry, so I mean seriously rock and comedy if you're into that kind of stuff.
But then if you want to play Oblivion again and weren't that fanboy attached to the actual Fallout games then I'd advise Fallout 3, it is quite hefty on the content side and really fun.. Then again really dull at times.
So really just find out what type of game you prefer and don't really listen to us and get the one you want to get.

I really liked Fallout 3 and there's a variety of missions but not enough veriety in game mechanics itself. Brutal Legend is a full game without dragging on,where all the extra stuff are just extras. Nothing more nothing less. Either are gonna give you your money's worht I'm sure, but my vote's with Brutal Legend
Is Brutal Legend actually being taken seriously as a game? I thought it was only getting attention as a joke. More of another Jack Black movie with an interactive element tossed in.
