I was curious as to who else on The Escapist rode motorcycles and what types? How many CC's? What drew you to it? How often do you ride? What is your preferance of motorcycle?

I own a 2008 Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide, which is a 1584 CC engine and I ride it to work every single day it's not too cold or raining.

Edit: Yay, my first topic...

Was it a cruiser or a sportbike? What country is it?

I have a Honda Shadow A.C.E. 1100.

Harley Davidson is overrated.
We'll have to politely disagree on that last part. My favorite thing about my bike is the sound it makes everytime I start it up and give it a good rev.

Motorbikes scare me.

Buuut... I want Travis Touchdown's bike.
Does that count?
I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about? I assume it's some sort of referance that is totally going over my head.

I don't know the names of them, but I like the smaller Triumph's. Like the one's that go about 75 miles an hour that you sit straight up on and don't make an extremely loud noise.

Actually one of the Nazi style motorbikes.

I want the BRP Can-Am Spyder Roadster.

I have had a couple of good friends flip over on their bikes. One nearly died and the other got messed up pretty bad. After that the romance of two wheeled vehicles just faded a lot for me. If a person rides on a motorcycle they will fall. It is not a matter of IF but a matter of WHEN.

If I'd ever get a motorbike it would be one of those cruiser-types where you lean behind and have those gigantic handlebars rising above you.

Not very fast but you just need the black leather and sunglasses for the "Oh... Yeah..." feeling. Perhaps a moustache too.

Have:

(600cc inline 4 sportbike)
Want:

(700cc twin naked sport/standard)
Despite the fact that it's a 250cc single (for the uninitiated: tiny), I really enjoyed riding one of these:

Yep, about a month away from its 17th birthday.......and still embarrasing newer machines regularly. And the noise, fuck it sounds good with that full Yoshi system!
