Gah, I dunno. It's a tough one.
Before the character trailers, I would probably have said Franklin. And then I got even more excited when I watched his trailer first and noticed something of a theme. Namely there were a lot of green hats and t-shirts going around. Grove Street Families, anyone? Also based on that trailer, it looked like Franklin was going to stick closest to San Andreas, easily my favourite in terms of atmosphere.
But then I saw the other two trailers. And yeah, Micheal looks like the most refreshing take on a GTA protagonist yet.
And then there's Trevor, who looks hilariously awesome. Some of the lines he busted out in those seventy odd seconds of video were killer.
So, I'm actually excited to play as ALL of them, and happier than ever that GTA is finally mixing things up. The multiple character thing is really growing on me as an idea. Even if I'm a little disappointed Rockstar didn't take this perfect opportunity to introduce a female character.
Purely for the chance to go back to the early hours of San Andreas, though, I'm sticking with Franklin.
