Poll: Which Space Marine Do you like?

Space marines are all over the place now in days Soo which ones do you like

The warhammer 40k space marines, when you mix old world with space aged tech.

Or the Starcraft space marines, where its a bunch of dudes and aliens fighting over minerals and gas and a over powered superweapon

Or even the Halo marines, Shure there not really armored with half a car on them they still get the job done

also Zone raiders a unit from CnC3:kanes wraith, which if you tech up enough u can call down from Space in pods <*cough* warhammer 40k>

Starcraft. But not for the space marines per se, more for what they fight. I mean, hell, being in the midst of a zerg rush would be scary. And honestly, I don't think that Master Chief could survive it.

I say 40K space marines, the marines in Halo are just regular soldiers, and the ones in Starcraft are very clearly based on those in 40K, I haven't heard of Zone raiders though.

So we have a choice between the 40K legionaires a mere 3 steps removed from Jesus/Ghandi/Any other things you wanna accuse Him of being, the marines from a setting which tried to copy 40K but left out all the awesomeness for fear of the rip being too blatant, a load of guys who I've seen fall to a single grunt in a 3 on one pile up... On easy, or something which has only just entered the market and had little time to establish itself? Ooh, tough one.

40k owns purely with it's style. Everythings going to shit but we're still trying.
I also love the 40k architecture & lore.

My local store's description is 7.5 foot tall Arnold Schwarzeneggers covered in Powerful armour with bloody huge guns and robot fists that're like being punched in the face with a land rover going at 70mph.

I think that Starcraft marines are too different from Warhammer Marines to truly be compared.

The 40k marine has been genetically bred and trained for generations to fight and kill..

The Starcraft Marines (from what I remember of the IP, and it has been a LONG time since I looked) are convicts who's only chance at freedom was to fight?

Both are pretty cool. 40k Marines are scared of NOTHING but Starcraft marines are crazy men with only their lives to lose...

Both make a pretty awesome story. I would have to vote the 40k Marine though as they can live forever.... unless killed in Combat.

I never played Zone Raiders; but I know Starcraft marines are Space Marine wannabes, they'll never match the REAL Space Marines. And the marines in Halo have some of the worst AI I've ever seen.

Space Marines could. Hell, more poorly equipped Imperial Guard could. Battle for Macragge, anyone? That would be scarier than any Zerg rush, and the Ultramarines came out on top.

Yeah, but as far as armor and equipment go.... Predator tanks and siege tanks. Bikes and vultures. Broad shouldered armor that is much too big for a normal human to maneuver in on both sides... But the Space Marines can do ten times more than Starcraft marines, and while the Imperium is massive, the Starcraft universe is significantly smaller.

When i was younger, I occasinally got out my brothers 40K space marines and played them against my other toys. Epic battles ensue.

40k was the birth of the space marine, and they are also the best (screw you master chief). their ordinary gun use bullets the size of your middle finger (.75 cal). and 100 of them can desolate a planet on a day.
