Poll: Which Spoon Are You?

I was discussing the specific act of cuddling known as spooning with a few friends and was surprised to hear that one of them (female) felt that women hold men (in the spooning position) far more often than the rest my friends and I felt that they did. Unable to find hard numbers or reputable, peer-reviewed sources, I've come to the Escapist to perform some detailed clinical research. So, are you the big spoon?

Could you provide some clearer differentiation? Is the alternative just spooning with your arms laying there on top of them? And by holding I assume you mean holding any part of their body (i.e. hands, legs, around the waist)?

Do you mean like Big Spoon Little Spoon? Because if so, I'm usually the Big Spoon, or holding the woman

I do mean Big Spoon/Little Spoon (Big holds Little), and, as far as differentiation between types of spooning goes, I don't know that it matters. As long as Partner A's back is facing Partner B's chest and there is physical contact, I'm willing to consider that an act of spooning.

I was going to ask what spooning was, but I see you've explained it, I don't remember hearing that before...
As far as that goes, eh... I have trouble even shaking hands with people, and let's not start with hugs, so the possibility of such a thing as "spooning" for me is rather close to zero, but I really doubt I'd be the one doing the holding unless I was crying or something.
In any case I won't vote in the poll as that would be giving false information.

Mostly because I'm 6'2 inch and my fiancée is like 5'2 inch

I prefer to be held, but quite often end up being the one doing the holding. Because I'm a man. A manly man that grows beards and can make fires and shit. Stupid socially established gender roles bullshit. My arm goes numb and I can't cuddle my teddy.
