Poll: Which to you like more ants or termites

so these to creatures have a lot of things in common, and I want to know which to people like more.

In one corner we have ants, extremely variety, great at combat and probably the better known of the two choices.

In the other corner we have termites, great builders making structures bigger then a human, completely blind and a very unique look to them.

I personally prefer termites due to their amazing building capacity, I mean they figured out how to make a cooling system using just dirt.

Wood-eating termites get a bad rap. At least they're proactive. Ants just stumble around and eat leaves and crumbs and stuff. They'll never take more from a human than a single sandwich in one go, and that's only if you're dealing with some really hardcore ants. Termites, on the other hand, take a look at a permanent structure built by the dominant species of the planet, and think to themselves, "Yes. That shall do for lunch."

Seriously, go termites.

Termites get my vote because termites are simply bad ass. They have guns on their faces that shoot glue!

I don't like termites at all.

If you don't spray termites they destroy your house. If you don'r spray ants you lose some food and they get all over the bench. Both piss me off but I can live with an ant problem. I would live to see someone live with a termite problem.

If you had a termite problem Im sure you would change your mind to ants very fast. Depending on how wooden your house is they eat your floors, walls, roof timber & even furniture (could even get into your books) if it's bad. Making your house unsafe and costing a ton.

An ant problem it much cheaper to deal with. At least ants don't destory your house.

Well I wouldn't kill them all i'd just kill enough to put each type on the endangered species list to do so i'd probably just load most of them on a rocket to the sun.Don't ask how

Got no real opinion on termites as we don't have them in Sweden. I know how they look and what they they build, but that's pretty much it.
Don't really have any issues with ants, so I'll stick with them. Unless I'm walking around naked in the woods(it happens) they don't bother me much.

I've never seen a termite (And I have been to a lot of zoos,) so I choose ants... also because diging up a black ants nest, and putting them on a red ants nest to watch the war was one of the most awesome things to do in childhood... also some ants can fly... That's right... they have a fucking Air Force...!

EDIT: Quick google search later tells me that Termites too have an air force... hmmm... bugger! Ants are still better though due to the epic wars... (Ants vs Beetle was cool, especially when the ants hollowed out the beetle shell!)

In my personal experience? I'd prefer ants. They're cool little guys, and I hate having to kill them. Termites, on the other hand, just seem so terribly unpleasant to have to live with.

In general though? Some ants eat babies. Just no.
Termites, on the other hand, seem more interested in building and other cool things over war and calculated destruction.

An ant nest in your house is likely to stop a termite nest being established.

Yeah, I'm going with ants here. Mind you, they can be annoying, but I don't mind sharing the house with harmless predators, they eat more annoying things.

My brother used to call me ant man, so my decision is rather obvious, I mean this going to sound stupid but when I was a kid I didn't really have any friends so I just spent all day looking at ants and helping them reach food because they're cool besides they tickle!
Also if you killed ants in front of me at that time I would have kicked you're ass and by that I mean I literally hit someone in the head with a pipe because he was killing ants with a lens, so I am actually quite fond of those creatures, they are probably my favourite animal.

and the ants are white washing the termites, instead of the fact that they eat buildings getting them a certain level of badassery they instead get hated for it, because i am sure that a human is able to chew through wood so it isn't that impressive.

Never met termites so I have to go for ants.
But hey, maybe I'll get to change my opinion someday.
