Pretty straight-forward, innit?
Personally, I would rank them Eccleston>Smith>Tennant, but I've only seen one episode with Matt Smith in it (Series 31 is looking to be AWESOME).

I don't understand all the Tennant fanboiism; He's a terrible doctor, and even Rowan Atkinson did a better job ("waaah, I dont want to die!" vs "You were fantastic; and you know what? So was I")
He's too skinny to be attractive, too ;P

I think that given some more Matt Smith episodes, I may like him more than Eccleston

NB: Yes, I am aware that I left out 8 previous official doctors, and many more unofficial doctors; the poll is limited to 8 options, and I couldn't pick just 5 from the great 8; although Tom Baker>all others.

Tennant is a hard act to follow, but i shall await to see this series before i make my choice.

Remember kids, The writing is as important as the acting.

This is Doctor Who, right?

It doesn't air where I live, so I've only taken it upon myself to watch one episode online ("Blink", I believe it was called). But 31 series is pretty damn impressive for one show; you'd think I would've heard more about it. Must be a predominately British thing.

so far we have 1 doctor for 1 season. (Eccleston) second one got 3 seasons (Tennant). and the 3´rd just been aired 1 episode.

so it just comes down on who you liked Tennant getting 3/4 of the vote and we dont even know if the newest one is worth it so far

I think Matt Smith's got a lot of promise; he may have only been in one episode, but it was great, and it didn't seem like he was acting at all.

Tennant can fuck right off. He was average. Barely. To be fair, my biggest problem was the writing. Davis ended up so far up his own arse he could see daylight and he couldn't write. "Ooh let's just keep bringing back the Daleks and the Cybermen, that'll keep people happy so I don't have to think of something original. I'll just make money off the back of other peoples' ideas."

Matt Smith could shape up to be excellent, but that remains to be seen. Although, so far, I really like Amy. Love the way he sent her more than a little bit crazy.

So long as they don't bring Rose back AGAIN I'll be happy. What was her appeal? She wasn't pretty, talked weird and was nothing more than a second rate love interest.

Hugh Laurie, House is amazing...

What? What the hell do you mean we're talking about Time Lords? That's the stupidest thing I've ever he-Assuming direct control.

I'm actually glad that the other Doctors haven't been included because now I can saw Tennant easily. Although, Matt Smith could still potentially surpass him, so perhaps this poll is a little premature.

Watch House then watch A Bit of Fry and Laurie... Takes ages to get your head round the fact it's the same person.

He's highly underrated. Cast into the shadow given by the gleam on Tennant's terrifying teeth.

I'm British too. Which means I also saw him in things like Black Adder, Jeeves and Wooster etc before he went to America. I still think his American 'accent' is hilarious.

It brings me endless hours of amusement listening to him gruff his lines haha.

But his smile is totally hypnotic!
I don't like Tennant very much, I got used to the Ecclestone-Piper combo and zap, they exchange the doc.
Not to mention his way of dressing seems to have changed pretty quickly. I don't think the ninth one ever wore this kind of suit...

Not that it doesn't fit him, I only noticed it.
