too overdone, also no mumorpeger could ever hope to follow the visual WOAH of the movie.

all we see for most of the movie is the jungle area where the omatecaya clan live
but there are clearly other areas of pandora not truely shown well in the movie, so there is a lot more then just jungle areas to go to
i'd say its got great potential
especially since its not really stated outright that the Na'Vi are the ONLY humanoid or intelligent race on pandora

It would be a good place for one, but they'd need to figure out a story for it.

No flippin way matey, the lore is very interesting and it would be a very unique fantasy in the MMO world but the combat wouldn't live up to expectations, strafing whilst firing a bow... OH YEAH!

Yes, actually. It's big. It's pretty. It's got (kinda) varied environments. I even has 2 factions already. And then you can have classes within the military, and classes within the Navi hierarchy.

Yeah it could be quite an interesting set up in some respects. There could be a leveling system with the Na'vi's journey to adulthood and becoming one of 'the people', also the whole bonding with creatures element would be a nice touch.
That said I think the movie had an element of soul to it that a game simply would not be able to match.

My buddy actually set up a RIFTS campaign for this. (Rifts is like D&D only it runs on a percentile dice system for most of the skills and such, rather than the D20 being used for nearly everything.) I know I'm a nerd...but he originally got the idea from Borderlands, which was A GREAT GAME.

Avatar was a good movie, sadly I heard the game was poop. (Because I'm getting tired of blotting out the word s**t and I'm wondering if I'll even get in trouble for saying it...)

In short...It would make a pretty dull world for an MMO. The setting is nice, but what would the races be...Alien and Human. What would the classes be? Gunner/Archer, Pilot/Archer, Infantry/Tribesman, Medic/Healer...it would need to be expanded on a bit.

Overall the game as of now would receive a Q...because I'm not a critic with enough respect to give out a letter grade.
