So earlier today while fishing on the wonderful Internet I came across a game called Queen's Blade, http://kotaku.com/5262210/queens-blade-brings-blades-boobs-to-psp, for the PSP. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it seems that the only reason most people are going to by this game is for the no less than obvious assets of all of the main characters. Don't get me wrong, this game looks...good-ish, but how many of you would by honestly buy it?

I'm not going to front, I've been suckered in to buying games because of the sweater puppies (Dead or Alive series) but at the very least they've been redeemable. Have you (or will you) ever buy a game because of the ladies? Please share. ^^

No, not particularly. There have been situations in which the canned hams and rump-roast have caught my eye, but never a situation where they've made me do anything more than investigate a game farther.

no I can't affored to buy game that has no substance or replay vaule just because it has boobs in it. Plus I could just use google for free.

If T and A meant terrific-gameplay and astounding-story then yes. But if it was just for the t and a you meant, god no.

I'm gonna have to say no - the most that boobs would do is make me glance at the box art twice (provided they are displayed prominently on the box art, which they most certaintly will be); other than that, there are plenty of boobs out there which I can look at without having to spend my hard-earned money.

I wouldn't buy a game just for TnA but if I'm wavering it might end up being a decisive factor.

What?

Don't judge me.

If 'Kweens Brade' is T&A, then it's midget T&A.

The only people who would by this for the T&A are people who have a fetish for 4 foot tall women and little people.

I wouldn't by a game for T&A, in fact I'd be put off a good game if it was like that.
For instance if that Samurai Bikini Squad game was good, even the best game of the year, I still wouldn't buy it, just because of it's ridiculously objectified characters and 'art style'.

I would not, a good example of developers trying to use tits for advertisement is in all of those god-awful browser games with a huge-breasted chick for the banner advertisements.

Agreed.

They can be an effective advertising tool when it's used with at least a bit of subtlety and not just "BEWBS!!!". I bought Silverfall after the cover art [http://www.playfuls.com/images/boxshot/upload/Silverfall_pc.jpg] caught my eye, I looked at the back of the box and it seemed to have what I like in a game so I bought it and it turned out to be a great game. If it wasn't for the boobs on the front of the box I probably wouldn't have given it a second glance.

I have, but the key element being that all the games I buy based off T&A were all porn, so it's kinda (maybe, possibly) justified.

I just watched the video in the link, and it's just absurd the amount of jiggling and panty shots.

On the other hand someone gets a squirrel thrown in their face. More games need squirrel attacks!

Honestly, if it's a bad game and has sex appeal, the answer is still no.
If a game is good, the sex appeal doesn't matter.
If I'm unsure about a game, but there might be some tits in it, I might give it more consideration than if it didn't. So far, T&A has not convinced me to buy a game, but the possibility is always there. For the record, I've played Playboy: the Mansion and Rumble Roses, both borrowed of a friends who I guess was a bit easier to sway in that department.

I would hope that most people on the Escapist are above this kind of thing. Really, if you want to see T & A there are places for that. It's hard to play games with an erection anyhow.

I'm just going to say this. I will NEVER buy a game for T&A as most of them are utter shite.
