I suppose if you inseminated the egg outside of the natural womb and grew it in an artificial one, women could keep their bodies thin and still have kids!

Sounds like a great idea. It'll give those women one less thing to gripe about, and those without the ability to bear children themselves due to health complications would be in luck. Of course, I wouldn't use the technology until it was tested and proven safe and effective. I'm not a doctor, but I can imagine a few things going wrong. If it didn't work properly, I might be left with a deformed monstrosity and the responsibility for its wellbeing. Such a thing would be a disgrace and a burden, so I wouldn't want any risk of that scenario.
