Probably not. I've wondered what it would be like to be the opposite gender but given the chance, I probably wouldn't do it.
For a short while? Maybe, just to see how it's like on the other side.

Would I change permanently? Simple answer is no.
Would I take the opportunity to be able to switch back and forth at will (kinda like Ranma)? Hell yes, sign me up! I would like to experience life as a girl, but I think us guys have life much easier in the short and long run, and plus, I like being a guy and it would be harder for me to find a girlfriend as a girl.

I'd like to see what it'd be like just for a day or so, but I'm fine with my current gender, though I do tend to be... very different just in nature and appearance from my gender standards >>

I think you mean change your sex.
Changing your gender, if you were cisgendered before, will just end up making you gender dysphoric, which is no fun, and if you were gender dysphoric (on the transgender spectrum, normally a transsexual), it would just make you cisgendered.

Would I permanently change myself into a woman? No. Would I accept the ability to switch back and forth? Yes. Would I change my gender to something totally new, beyond male and female (for instance the character Pie'Oh'Pah in Clive Barker's Imagica)? Maybe.
For a weekend? Sure. Forever? No. I believe in making the most with the cards you have been dealt. I am what I am, and I'll be damned if someone is going to change me.

I presume you mean, a proper sex change, and not just a cosmetic gender change (like I had been born female)
