I would definitely wear glasses. I don't understand why people make such a big of a deal about it. I mean, what tha hell are you doing when you play games? Running?
..
And if it's the fact that they might not look cool... Than you're retarded...

Gimmick, i wants hologram. Seriously, it doesn't effect a movie or game at all, just makes it prettier, adn i don't care about pretty. I care about fun, and story, and characters.

No. That sounds like it would give me a headache. I can't imagine that 3D games would work well. I'm not changing my TV to compensate for it, and I'm not going to wear glasses that make everything darker, and probably don't even make any appreciable difference.

Wow. That sounded really pessimistic, didn't it? Huh. It's just that I can't imagine the 3D on a game being any less irritating than the 3D in movies that's such a craze now.

Meh, some people have a hard time with it - my girlfriend is partially blind in one eye, can't use 3D glasses without getting a headache. Others just don't see the appeal, like myself. I went to Universal Studios as a kid, saw the Terminator Experience thing in 3D, and was entirely underwhelmed. Playing games in 3D was equally underwhelming when I demoed them.

I kept taking them off when I was watching Alice in Wonderland in 3D, so probably not. It's a bit too irritating and will probably put me off.

So far my experience of 3D has been Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY where the 3D just plain sucked, and Resident Evil Afterlife where the glasses where bulky and annoying, and the film was deliberately shot with a ridiculous amount of slow motion and non-moving moments just in order to use it.

Let's just say that I am not a fan.

Give me holograms and VR then we'll get talking.

I wouldn't because 3D is not appropriate for gaming, in my opinion. With films, you have time to take in each part racing towards you . But when you're trying to concentrate on which buttons to press in a fast-paced gunfight, you don't have time to appreciate all the effects of 3D, and are more likely to just be annoying.

I doubt it, 3D is fine for TV or console games but its just going to get in the way of the graphical detail on the PC.

Here's the thing: Nintendo has amde a device that can do glasses-free 3D. If not for that fact, I'd just wait for better glasses to come out. But now that we know glasses-free 3D can be done. So why go back? Yes, the method is not the greatest, but when all industires work on it, it will get better. We could eventually have glasses-free 3D TV. I'm just waiting for one of the three scenarios:

1: the 3D fad dies out
2: 3D becomes the norm, instead of a gimmick used to jack up the price.
3: The difference between 3D and 2D becomes so great that it would be in my best interest to get a 3D TV. (Hence why I never got an HDTV or Blu Ray. The older devices still do the job they do, it's just not as pretty to look at.)

I bet it's one of those studies where they ask stuff like "Could you in any way imagine wearing 3D glasses?" and then interpret the results as absolute support/willingness to actually buy that stuff.
Sure, I could imagine playing a game with 3D glasses, but I'll probably never buy the equipment unless there's a whole slew of games that implement it perfectly and the price drops considerably.
