Some of here at the Escapist watched a gem of a show called "Extra Credits". To me this show made me think. I mean, really think. I loved the different topics that all had one overarching theme, the love of gaming and how we as a people can help to move it in a positive direction. Due to reasons you either know or do not know (and we have no need to get into it now for the purpose of this discussion) the show moved on to a new home at Penny Arcade.
Now, some people love bouncing around from site to site, fingers flying on the keyboard and eyes racing across the screen as they soak up information. Others are a little more loyal it seems and like to plant their flag in one or two sites and stay there. Branching out to another site can cause separation anxiety and a sense of betrayal and loss. . . or maybe they just don't know what else is out there or how to find it. The internet is a vast and complex world. . . I digress here from my original point.
I love the Escapist. If it needed a champion to fight in it's arena I would take sword in hand in its defense. That being said I love EC. If called to be champion for EC I would take sword up in hand again. When the fight broke out between the two of them I felt my soul being ripped in two as I saw my two loves stab each other through the hearts while I was to far away to stop it. . .(Didn't I JUST say I was babbling to much? Sheesh.)
Point. If there was a way would you want EC back home here or do you think it is better off where it is now? This is just not a random poll. Sometimes the voice the people can be the voice of change.
