So, I started to wonder which would be better, everything is written down or everything is videoed. Both would be valid ways of keeping records (although writing would stand the test of time better,perhaps?) and in the modern age, both would be equally easy to store (on servers, presumably).
It would come to choices like Newspapers vs. Newscasters, audiobooks vs. physical books, Textbooks vs. Lectures etc. With the continued expansion of itunes (which now includes i-newspapers that have videos built in to them and, something i've only just discovered, iTunesU onto which universities post recordings of their lecturers to share information) and the rest of the internet in this manner, i was wondering whether this type of change could happen.
The question really boils down to which type of information transfer would be better for everyone (or on a personal scale; whichever you prefer).
Of course, explanation and extrapolation would be lovelly, but not necessary.

I prefer writing down my important info. I've got a portable hardrive for important documents but I also keep paper records. Mind you, I'm only 19 so my records are pretty small ^^;

Searching through written words is infinitely easier from a computing perspective. Personally I think nothing can beat a good book, but videos also have their place.
