I normally dont have sound on during the evenings or weekends. I know most of you know why. I have been playing halo4 online and black ops2 zombies.
Late nights you have some older guys going off about how everyone else plays and how they are sooo pro. And that tends to be pretty funny.

Ok halo4 not really all that bad you have little kids fighting over the suits and who gets to drive. and tend to make sure if they cant no one can. gets on ur nervous at times but can deal with it.

black ops zombies on the other hand, there is a constant spew of trash coming form what i can gather 20 ish year old males. tosing every slang and cuss word. then normally quick if some needs to be revied before round 10. I had my 10 year old son play while i stepped out to smoke. Two guys where going off so bad about his game play. he is decent avg 150 plus kills a game. He was crying. I had the sound muted but he turned it back on and was crying.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed the class of people in the two games. yeah halo4 is ful of kids acting like kids, but i would rather pick that game over 20 plus year olds cussing, using slang and quitting ruining the game for everyone else.

In my entire time playing Xbox Live games (about three years), I've encountered about 10 or so people using the mic. Two of them were talking to each other and trying to strategize in AC:Revelations (apparently unaware that everyone could hear them), and all the others were just background noise from people who'd obviously forgotten to turn off their microphones.

Where the hell is all the filth and abuse I've been hearing about every damn day for years? I want to hear some cussing, damn it, silence gets boring!

You haven't played enough COD, but most people sit in XBL party chat these days. I always sit in party chat anyway so I don't hear what others are saying so yes I play with sound. I do miss the 'good old days' before party chat where you were forced to talk to new and different people and shit some of them weren't that bad, given this is when the xbox was relatively young so there were a lot fewer "kids" playing. But back in those days you'd have an argument and a screaming match or two, but most of the time you'd talk shit with some random bloke on a headset for 15 minutes in the lobby and during the game, add them on your friends list and then play with them every night for 6 years...
