Hello,
So the shoulder buttons on my regular 3DS stopped working, and my Wii's been busted for a while. Xenoblade Chronicles was like my favourite game ever when I came across it, and it's still one of the best things ever in my humble opinion, even if my Wii broke before I had a chance to beat it.
Anyway, I was gunna go and pick up a New 3DS XL after exams because there's a bunch of games I need shoulder buttons for and I don't think my brother likes me 'borrowing' his any more. But anyway:
Is Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is good port?
I have some friends who have it and they said it's quite good, but they never played the console version and thus don't have anything to compare the graphics to. A lot of the reviews have confirmed that gameplay-wise it's as good as ever, but that the 3DS is the wrong platform for it. I really want to play (and finish!) Xenoblade Chronicles, and don't consider myself all that bothered by pixelly or sub-par graphics; after all, my first gaming experiences were PS1 games, and they're still awesome in my eyes.
Anyway, does the New 3DS port of Xenoblade Chronicles do this massive game justice, or would I be better getting a second-hand Wii to play the console version on?
(And yes, I know I could buy a Wii U, but I've already bought a PS4 this year, and in the absence of any good single-player games that I like on the console (I.e. A 3D Mario game in the vein of 64 and Galaxy, a 'proper' console Zelda title that isn't apparent vapourware or a non-multiplayer-focused Metroid game), I know I'd never use it for anything other than Xenoblade and maybe some Smash Bros, some virtual console titles and Xenoblade Chronicles X when it comes out. At least with the New 3DS, I know I'm gunna get some actual use out of it beyond one or two games)
-Thanks!
