A Link Between Worlds is an incredibly fun game, but for me it can't quite compete with the N64 Zeldas, both of which are in my all time Top 3. Out of those two remakes Majora's Mask 3D is my favorite - it adds a lot of improvements big and small, and Majora's Mask, always having been a far more interesting game visually than Ocarina of Time, benefits tremendously from the graphical facelift.

I've played through A Link Between Worlds (and found it brilliant), and am nearing the end of Majora's Mask now (bounteous side-quests included).

Quick question, though; are we to judge the 3D remakes (OoT & MM) more on the strengths of the original games, or more on the strengths of the updates and improvements?

In direct match-ups I always judge the complete package - I mean, I'd take an okay remake of a masterpiece over a great remake of a mediocre game any day, and I'd never say a great original game is better than a good remake of a masterpiece simply because the latter is indeed a remake. That's just my preference though - others are free to base their votes on different criterias.

Well, I'm going to vote for Majora's Mask 3D. It's polished and fantastic, and narrowly beats out ALttP.

I haven't played OoT 3D, so I'm assuming that it's a similar update-- smoother graphics, a few conveniences, but essentially the same game.

I voted for A Link Between Worlds. It's a new entry and changes up some things that were getting stale.

Majora's Mask 3D is close, but it has some flaws that I've noticed since I've had time in the last couple days to play it. It's certainly an improvement over the original, but Grezzo either didn't improve some things as much as they could have, or outright gimped a few rare things (Zora swimming). I'm still getting over my muscle memory for the Goron and Zora controls.
