There seem to be a lot Bioware fans here on the Escapist, so I decided to make a little poll. It's an incredibly hard question, but Mass Effect, NWN and the Baldur's Gate series are the ones I enjoyed the most (still haven't played KOTOR)

I loved KOTOR the most, despite the awesomeness of Mass Effect. Oh yes, OP, you must play it, because otherwise you shall find your life emotionally dead, or is that the other way around...? Ah whatever.

Between Mass Effect and Kotor, though they both have their obvious flaws.

I've only ever played Kotor 2, and it was a little slow for me (especially the opening). The fact that none of the enemies respawned and that you revisit quite a few of the planets doesn't help. The combat wasn't very visceral either, even for a turn based game. Hopefully they have enough time to work out the bugs for Kotor 3.

Mass Effect if only because the majority of the sidequests were too similar. The voice acting is phenomenal though. Hopefully they polish the graphics rendering. It's a bit weird seeing the textures on everyone's armor popping up mid-conversation.

Well I haven't got to play Mass Effect yet so I'm going with KOTOR. That game was the best thing to happen to Star Wars in the past 20 years.

Jade Empire, hands down (ha). Though I like KOTOR, I'm more of a martial arts type of guy.

Baldur's Gate series, specifically BG2. Possibly the best game ever made.

I've only played mass effect. Have I missed out?
That's basically the same as asking: "All I've ever eaten were turkey sandwiches. Am I missing out on any good food?" - While turkey sandwiches are great, there's so much more out there ;)

As much as I liked Mass Effect, Baldurs Gate and KOTOR, Neverwinter Nights takes the prize.
Ahh, another Neverwinter Nights fan. I never understood why so many people talked about how bad the graphics were, today, of course, they wouldn't hold up, but considering it was from 2002 I thought it had really good graphics. The story was underrated too. It wasn't fantastic, but it was definitely on par with most other Bioware games.

KOTOR. Both ending for Light Side and Dark Side were awesome. The characters were meorable and the story was so good. KOTOR FTW.

Does anyone know if it works in Windows 7 under Windows XP mode? I want to play it again and I am getting Windows 7 Professional soon. It won't work under my current OS which is XP x64. :(

I never got around to playing kotor, or completing NWN, or BG2, which both got a bit tedious then I went off and fps'd. It's the original Baldur's Gate for me, I fucking loved that game. Pure awesome.

I got Jade Empire for it's masterful story. The little things are oblivious the first time through, yet obvious the second.

Mass Effect was a good game, but I have fond memories of KOTOR, so I'm going with that >:D
