If this has been made before, please forgive my ignorance of the search bar. I figured it was time to see who liked who in a showdown of epic proportions: real-life martial artists.

So let's hear it Escapist's: Who is your favorite practitioner in the ways of kick-ass?

Jackie Chan is the only living master of "Ladder-Fu".

Souplex's mighty word echoes forth from his mountain of epicness and speaks the truth.

Jackie Chan is a personal hero of mine. Who Am I? is my personal favorite, but he has made a large amount of very good, fun martial arts films.

Seanbaby.

On-topic, though...hard to say. Probably Bruce Lee, for apparently being even more incredibly badass in real life than he was in his movies.

I don't have a mountain. They don't have mountains in the city, and only cities are awesome enough to contain me.
Unless it's a metaphorical mountain.

Other, Chloe Bruce, martial arts women are kind of a fetish of mine and she is not only smokin hot but extremely skilled in the martial arts.

Tony Jaa is the best, hands down.

Edit: Why isn't Donnie Yen on this list?????

Bruce Lee.
He is better than Chuck Norris, and I like his inspired Pokemon better than Chan's.

Out of those listed... probably Tony Jaa (respect for a fellow boxer). Jet Li was cool when he was young (as in before he got a film career, 'cos he was seriously badass as a kid).

However, personally, I like Collin Chou.

Probably Jackie Chan due his well choreographed scenes that I always find amusing to watch, and yeah the ladder scene in First Strike is one of my favourite martial arts fight scenes ever.

Moviewise, it's Jackie Chan. He's just incredibly entertaining and a great choreographer.

When it comes to the person itself, however, I have to go with Lee. Chan is a funny and really nice guy, Im sure, but Lee just has this incredible charisma. Ive read a few of his books, and I have absorbed everything he wrote. He was a really intelligent, kind, and insightful man. Truly, someone to look up to and call Sifu.

Jackie Chan. In spite of the lameness apparently perceived by the public at large, I do actually enjoy his movies.

Well, there are some pretty bad-ass people on that list, so I decided to vote from the perspective of someone who's just pissed these people off.

Bruce Lee - One punch/kick and I'm down

Chuck Norris - He's too busy maintaining the delicate balance of natural selection to be bothered by me.

Jean Claude - Well, if you ever watched his films, I don't think he ever learned to block. So I'll hit him a few times before he passes out out in a drunken heap. He really is a washed-up dickhead.

Jackie Chan - He's probably coming at me whilst wielding a stepladder in one hand and a Big Issue salesman in the other. I'm pretty sure I can run faster than he can under these circumstances.

Jet Li - He's fast, I won't feel anything!

Tony Jaa - He's fast and will probably break every bone in my body before I hit the floor.

WINNER - Tony Jaa

Unfortunately all these have been subjected to awful films (in the case of Bruce Lee it came post-mortem with cheap films using doubles of him and some even splicing in footage of his funeral).

Jackie Chan is my personal favourite.

The only film I've seen Chuck Norris in is Enter the Dragon, a film where his character he gets his arse handed to him...why are there memes about him?

Bruce Lee was an amazing fighter in real life, not just the movies... but nothing compared to Masahiko Kimura- look the guy up. He was before the great silver screen age of martial arts heroes though. Another great fighter IRL that alot of people forget as a 'martial artist' is Muhammed Ali.

Jackie Chan is funny, and Chuck was actually a skilled fighter IRL too- being compared in the same breath as THE Bruce Lee is no mean feat.

But I have to say, my vote went to my favourite movie martial artist: Tony Jaa for the brutal smackdown that is Ong Bak. Full contact fight scenes anyone? Anyone? Oh, I notice how Hollywood stuntmen are all quiet at this sta- OH MY GOD MY SPLEEN EXPLODED

Dont fuck with his elephants man.
