Poll: Your FPS of Choice (Current Generation)

None of them. All of those games are really bad. I can't even pick the "other" option because you're restricting me to the current generation of FPS games.

Team Fortress 2, naturally. It's colorful, interesting, and there's plenty to do, as long as you're playing PC. With all the good people playing, and all the mods, it's hard to get bored of.

I choose halo. it is a flawed game but it has so many diffrent things to do with forge mode and infection. community sucks though

Ok. I can see what you wouldn't like any of the games, but using a phrase like 'All of those games are really bad' is just not possible. That isn't me being dramatic or hyperbolic, the simple fact is those games are not bad.

You can think they're bad (I'd still say you were very wrong), but such a generalisation like that is just not true.

Any of the Battlefield games really, though I prefer them for pc. The planes turn tighter and it has helicopters, HELICOPTERS. Though they are a ***** to fly.

Which is your favourite FPS of this generation, or the one that you would prefer to play if you had the choice of any of them?

I'd say Halo 3, mostly because I'm new to this generation and it's the only one that I own sadly... but, contrary to what other people say... I actually enjoy it!

But, lets not dwell on that and concentrate on the question at hand - which is your FPS of
choice?

Halo IS a fun game and I have good times playing it.
But CS:S man.. just so great. So many diffrent things, customazation(i can't spell).
Also graphics are good and gameplay is just deep as I like.
(please don't tell me how 1.6 is deeper...)

Halo 3. Custom games are just so much damn fun, and so is Team SWAT. Headshots are fun.

Left 4 Dead, even though I don't own it myself. I just think it's great fun, has loads of replayability and seems to be a great game to play with/against friends.
It's one of the few games that I am envious of the 360 and PC crowds for having as exclusives...

You will have to tell me why it's so good, because I can't see it.

OT: Have played Team Fortress 2 continuously for a year now and I'm not about to quit in the forseeable future, I just can't get enough of the graphics and the BEST voicework ever. (I occasionelly play CoD 4 but that's rarely. I bet 14 days of multiplayer violance is some magic barrier.

Then in November I might take a break from TF2 when MW2 and L4D 2 comes out. (Yes, I know what I've written and Yes I am a bit of a hypocrite)

Half of the games on that list are are severly dumbed down for babies (TF2). The rest are just shooters with a dozen shitty hitscan weapons, or they're for consoles. Some even combine them all (BF1943)! Multiplayer FPS games peaked with Quake 3. Nothing has come remotely close to the balance and fun it has achieved.

He's borrowed the first six series of Scrubs on DVD from me, and told me to say when I wanted them back. (Oh, and it's Swedish if you were wondering)
