So now that we're not going 'off-topic' we can have our very own thread for this very, VERY fucked up scenario! Choose quickly, meow.

I'd pick my mother or father. Though they can both swim very well. But I'd still save the people I love and know over a stranger.

Is this the new trend of the month or something? :p

Anyway, parents. Because, ya know...they're my parents, man.

I can't really swim but in this hypothetical situation I would save my parent and probably spend the rest of my life beating myself up over letting a person drown.

Yes, but what if the river is drowning?
It's not even a choice. You save that river or you're a monster who should be condemned to drowning in a drowning river which shall then be saved and so it goes

This one depends.

If the parent either leaves the decision entirely to me or insists I save him or her, I do that.
If the parent insists I save the stranger, I save the stranger.
If the parent insists for whatever reason I save the pet that is also drowning in this scenario, I still save the stranger.

I will only save the river if the pet insists upon it and it is between the hours of 10pm and 4am and the moon is gibbous or full.

Which parent is it, my mother or my father?...

I guess I'll just walk away, no witnesses that way.

We've had gun control, Skyrim, ME3, feminism, rape, games as art....but nothing has prepared us for family members and strangers inexplicably drowning in an area where nobody else is around to help except us

I've been away for a few days, why the hell are all these people and pets drowning all of a sudden? Is this inspired by the fact that there have been quite a few people drown in Britain recently? If so, thats in pretty bad taste.

Poll: Would you save a drowning brit, or a drowning american?

1) Save the brit
2) save the american
3) USA USA USA

Okay, I can see this thread isn't as serious as the 'My life Vs. Someone else's pet's life' thread. That one was God damn stupid.

I'd choose my mother or father, obviously.

Unless the stranger is the President of USA or something.

I'd NEVER choose an animal's life over a human's. EVER.

It's the summer (for the correct hemisphere, anyway), of course more people are drowning recently. How many people you know go out for a swim in November?
