Why do you stay up late or all night? Do you find other stuff than your bed much more interesting?

Personally, my computer is what keeps me up. I'm a night guy and spend a lot of nighttime in front of the computer, either browsing forums like this one(or worse ones) or playing violent PC games while eating violent food and lacking sleep, so my brain can get good and messed up.
A perk with this "method" is that I get to watch a lot of sunrises.

Why do you guys stay up?

Edit: "Looking for or watching 'colourful' movies" replaced with "You obsessively play videogames(PC or console)". I honestly don't know why I didn't think of that...I'm ashamed of myself.

Meh, nocturnal habbits are bad ones to get into, you'd be surprised what going over the legal energy limit can do

Insomnia. Yaaaaaaaaay.
And I've been up since 6:30 too. Sleep is a mythical being that's about as easy to catch as a Unicorn. A Unicorn in a brothel. Now that's hard to catch.

I'm usually up all night talking to my Australian friends and writing.

Oddly enough, the only time I'm motivated to write is after it's dark.

The surprise has yet to surprise me. I've been doing this for at least 3 years now.

I'm afraid it's not insomnia, it's actually a choice. And I've been up since 9pm last night, after 5 hours of sleep.

I stay up just because I'm a night person. It's part of my natural rhythm to be up all night and sleep all day.
Even if I'm tired I won't be able to sleep until at least 4 or 5am.

Also, I fight crime. But don't tell anyone my secret identity. Shhhh...

Here's an article explaining how morning people function vs night people:

I've been a night owl since high school.

It's: be awake in the day when it's hot and crowded and busy and too much traffic.

or...

be awake when it's quiet and chilly and peaceful and there are no people.
