That last game you played? What genre was it? FPS? Platformer? Puzzle? RPG?

Well, let's pretend that you've now been locked into the genre that you've played most recently, for the rest of your life.

So, what genre is it? And more importantly, are you happy about it?

For me, it'd be Other (Sandbox/Action games), as RDR is the most recent game I played.

I could live happily with that, as I'm sure you could tell. ^_^

Pretty much all the games I've played lately have been FPS's of some sort. At least if you count Mirror's Edge as an FPS. My oppinion on this? Meh, It's good. This means I'll get to play any future games with first person shooting in them. So Fallout: New Vegas. For example. (there's always a loop hole) or "Bioshock: Infinite", which I really hope changes the title. And the new Deus Ex. So yeah, I'm pretty happy about it ^^. It was either that or Action Adventure games...

Pretty much all the games I've played lately have been FPS's of some sort. At least if you count Mirror's Edge as an FPS. but if i were to be locked in one genre my entire life it would either be FPS's or Action Adventures. The kind of branding that Psychonauts and Beyond Good&Evil fall under.
Can't decide between the two though...

Fallout 3. I'm gonna narrow that down to Action RPG, so I guess I'm set for life.

The first two fallout games, Mass Effect 1/2, Bioshock, Borderlands, Deus Ex, STALKER, and way more games I've never bothered to play? Sure. I could live with that.

lol, yeah. In this fictional world, I'm sure genre cliques and the dividing lines would be somewhat akin to those in the American Civil War. Y'know, bro vs. bro.

I don't even know how to classify that game? Action-Adventure?

I guess it's okay to be stuck with Action-Adventures because that is a very broad genre that encompasses a lot of different types, and often types of shooters. I would miss my FPS games though
