shotgun, good for those pesky zombies on mass, specially bolt or automatic, plus when its out it doubles as a club

Bolt- action.
Yeah its slower than most guns, but you cant beat the accuracy and power :)

as to the given options i'd say crowbar, but if it was my choice, i have in my room, full chainmail(i'd wear it to prevent bites) and a nice selection of swords, knives, axes, and so forth. as an added pleasure my roommate has many rifles and pistols that would help in the instance of oncoming zombie hordes. so i say BRING ON THE ZOMBIES!

guns need reloading which takes time plus bullets can miss. if i had to use a gun i'd go for a pistol due to little recoil so more accurate shots. my ideal weapon would be a sword, preferably a katana and preferably 2 of them.

Shotgun, since it's the only kind of gun I actually know how to use. Plus, you're going to literally tear the zombies to pieces at close range, and at long range you could take out more than one with each shot.

Probably something with a huge range, melee, so I don't have to worry about ammunition.

Maybe I'll just use my dog's chain + metal collar. It has those pointy metal pieces on it, chain is made of metal too. I can use it as a flail, a whip or a long-range mace. Like, 3 meters, can you beat that?

I can attack some nails to it or wires. It will hurt extra hard. Or a spear.

A shotgun for close combat, a sniper for long, and grenades for when I'm sitting on top of a roof drinking martinis.

Semi-auto carbine all the way: accuracy, rate of fire that's decent but doesn't encourage you to 'AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!' and waste valuable rounds on auto-fire, packs a wallop, and can be fired up close or at a distance. Could also double as a handy club I guess, though I'd prefer a machete for hand to hand, or a trench-blade.
