I gotta say I can't stand The Beatles.

Yeah I know they influenced alot of todays music but I just find them depressing.
I respect your opinion, but I can't understand how you can find them "depressing."
Their association with liverpool and the 50s & 60s and just their music. When I hear one of their songs I get a 'there's no hope left' sort of feeling.

avenged sevenfold, green day, good charlotte, my chemical romance, every emo band that ever existed, about 99.99% of all punk bands that ever existed, every metal band that cant play real metal, every rapper except for eminem (and im not really a big fan of his), almost everything i hear on the goddamn radio.

basically im left with badass metal bands from the 80's and metal bands from europe. i need music with balls and crunch. god knows 99.9999999999999% of todays music lacks balls.

Pretty much most popular music since the early 1990s (theres some good stuff, but in such a minority that it makes me want to cry). Playing guitar has made me realize how much better all the old rock and roll/ blues stuff was (Jimmy Hendrix, Buddy Guy, Steppenwolf, dire straits, Beatles to name a few). All the music nowadays seems to be focused on manufactured bands, the same old emotionless songs centered around really, really shit lyrics. I'm pointing the finger at Pop here, although I really despise most modern rock bands too. There are some pretty good hard rock and metals groups out there IMO, but I have never really been into metal that much.

Anyways done with the rant, hopefully I didn't offend too many people!

This band Waking the Cadaver is the worst ass piece of shit I have heard.

how can you compare that to this
Why compare a grindcore band with old school death metal? Two completely different genres.

Oh, and Chuck Schudliner was a god of music.

Nickelback. Here's why:
Oh man. I like Nickelback cause they're easy on the ears...
And the Beatles aren't? Even if you don't think they're amazing, they are at the least 'easy on the ears'.

And the person who said Led Zeppelin, it's because they practically invented Hard Rock. But it's all irrelevant because it's all opinions and that's what adds diversity to this world, init mush?

How do you hate a band "on principle"? That doesn't even make sense, that just sounds like you're hating something just for the sake of hating it.
It makes perfect sense. While I don't hate the music of the likes of Nirvana and Sonic Youth, I hate them for what they stand for. Sonic Youth for totally undermining the riot grrrl movement and everything it stood for, and Nirvana because of the members. Both individually and as a whole. The band was Kurt Cobain, let's not piss around the bush. Dave Grohl doesn't recognise this and thinks he has some kind of god given right to be a dick because Kurt picked him out of a lineup to play the drums in his band. He has no talent and Courtney Love had more input into Nirvana than he did. Kurt Cobain was bareable, if only just, but the second he shot himself (AND YES HE DID SHOOT HIMSELF) it was like every Nirvana fan took leave of their senses and blamed everyone but Kurt for his death because he was the second coming and anyone who doesn't agree is clearly an idiot. He was fucking depressed, let it go.
You say you hated the band on principle, but as you just said, Kurt "was" the band, so by saying that you're arguments about Grohl and Love are irrelevant. So you must by your own admission hate Kurt Cobain "on principle" which confuses me.

Have you heard of it? Then I probably hate it. Don't interpret that to mean I'm an indie rock fan or some such, as I think the vast majority of things you haven't heard of suck too.

Pretty much everything sucks, which is why I essentially hate everything, minus the very small subset of bands in any given genre that are actually good (there are of course a few genres with no such thing as a 'good' band, but most have at least some merit to be found... somewhere).

The only real difference between terrible popular music and terrible obscure music is that the likelihood of being annoyed by it increases exponentially when something becomes popular... well that and the obscure crap tends to be crap because it's lame, while the popular dreck tends to be extremely irritating and also lame.

Huzzah for internet radio enabling music snobs to pretend everything they can't stand doesn't actually exist - I think I'd go insane or homicidal without it.

Nirvana.

Sorry, but I think they're overrated.
Fuck. Yeah.
If he hadn't tried to eat that shotgun everybody would've forgotten them by 1997.
Also Kings of Leon i never really got them. 1 or 2 songs off their first album are ok maybe but the latest one is just dreary and depressing. Plus anything in the top 40 or any devil spawn from simon cowell's x factor/pop idol/ britain's got talent/ american idol untalented retard factory.

I know for a fact im going to get a lot of criticism here, but me and my friend cannot figure out why the band Led Zeppelin is as big as they are. They wrote good music, yes. But to us it doesnt seem like they did anything out of the ordinary. They're good, but overrated.
I think it's cause they're one of the pioneers of heavy metal.

At the time their music was unique in the music industry.
Get your facts straight dude, Zeppelin weren't really the pioneers of metal, Black Sabbath were!! Zeppelin were ROCK!! Bluesey, folksey ROCK!.
Not as good as the Who though...

Radiohead have dissappeared completely up thier own collective asshole in recent years.
I hate when great bands like radiohead jump the shark like that. The worst thing is it ruins their great early stuff.
